This book was so blatantly antisemitic it was gross. There were other problematic issues with this book but the main one was its racial dog whistles. Absolutely not ok.

Hated the Main Character

DNF. This is a nope for me. The main character really isn’t likable and I’m supposed to believe she’s “an amazing writer” when really she isn’t and then she’s supposed to be this strong woman who writes mean break up letters for other people but can’t tell a a misogamist asshole on a date that he’s an inappropriate jerk and instead is polite to him. Like. Ew. Just ew.

Also the whole subplot of her dad marrying her classmate six months over her mom dies and somehow SHE’s the jerk who needs to apologize?!

I really wanted to like this one because of the representation but there are just way too many things that gross me out or make me made.

I really enjoyed this class. I liked how it covered each of her books. And also talked about the time period she wrote in. Excellent class.

Excellent romance

Loved the cross cultural representation and education. Loved the consent! Loved the characters.
The male reader’s voices for women wasn’t good. But the story and the woman reader made up for it.

How can this be even better!

Everything you want in a Christmas story

This book had everything you could want in a Christmas story. Friends to lovers. Angst. Sexy times. Great guy friends. Humor. A bad ass woman. A sweet nice guy. A wedding and lots of Christmas. Bonus it also has a fun song list with it.
I loved this book so much. It was sweet and fun. Light enough to be a perfect Christmas love story but serious enough to make you fall in love with the characters. Loved that the evil exes both got what they deserved but also that (at least one of them) also got to be humanized.
This was a perfect Christmas read and I highly recommend.
The audio performance was absolutely perfect too. Get this book. Read it every year.

Happy Holidays

Angst and holiday cheer. No sexy times but still felt like a sexy story. Was just fun to have a short holiday read and loved that it was Hanukkah.

What an asshole

Wow. The lead male in this book is a complete asshole. I absolutely hated him Self absorbed and can’t figure out why people (women) don’t like him. There was nothing likable about him. He didn’t even try not to be an asshole.

Sexy So very sexy.

This book was excellent and worth the wait. Possibly my favorite book by this author. Both the narrators were wonderful. I’m glad I bought it because I think I will want to listen to this book again.
I definitely recommend this book.
