This is a nice easy listen. It’s witty and has a great story line. I wish there was a bit more detail on the worlds and backgrounds but it doesn’t detract from the overall story.

Great Series!

The series has stayed strong thus far. This book was a tad slower but still great! I’m excited to hear the next. The narrator does a wonderful job and I would definitely listen to other books narrated by him.

This Book is Just Good Fun

Love it. Needed something to brighten my day on a weekend I was really sick. Even amongst the tissues, I smiled and smiled and laughed out loud. Thank you for the pick me up!

Both main characters are hilarious and keep it real. Love the female lead. She is equal parts unsure of her own appeal and a badass. It makes her quite lovable. He is a great guy who loves his mom and got burned by an cheating ex. Great chemistry between the two.

Can’t deal with this level of sexual harassment

Look……you called her a Savage. But unless she is going to kick their asses after such blatant rape and gangbang references I.e. when will we run a train on her and show her her place. What the actual? Seriously? Do not normalize this crap for high school students. If she would have put them in their place, by all means. This is just leading some 17 year old girl to think she should just deal or be able to handle this level of harassment. I liked the other books. I also like alpha males. High school and normalized rape is not ok.

It’s a credit you won’t get back

I went in hoping for a light and comedic listen. What I got was a wet dishrag of a heroine, if you can call her that and little else. I don’t mind a bit of timidity if the heroine is growing and coming into her own. However, this girl should have been named “Rug” because all
She ever did was allow herself to get walked on. The narrator was great and not to blame for the lack of a good story.

Honest Review by an Honest Book Lover

I have read a lot of Nora Robert’s books. I love a good romance as much as a good Fantasy. I am a huge fan of the Rise of Magics. I have listened to the series many times. I almost did not listen to this because of the reviews, but that would have been a travesty. It’s not the same, but the world building and character building is equally outstanding. I can see the story. It is definitely a lighter read, content wise, but also a very good one. The narrator is very talented and brings the writing to life. Don’t pass it up because of nit picky reviews. If the synopsis appeals to you, give it a chance.
