Most important book Grisham ever wrote

A Time to Kill was John Grisham's first book. I read it after I read The Pelican Brief his first book to make it big...a very good book but...in my opinion ATTK will always be the most important and one that is why it's probably banned in Florida.

After 71 years on this planet. After working fifty years as an RN looking so forward to retirement with my husband of thirty-nine years and raising two amazing young men did I ever believe my hardest challenge would being a part of working to protect our democracy…my rights as a woman and to protect those rights for all girls that will be here when I am gone. But…I sleep well knowing WE WILL NOT GO BACK! Every citizen should LISTEN to this young author tell you in his words what a scary world the far right has made this country for our kids all in the name of power, greed and money!! It’s time to stand up and say “HELL NO!!”

A man of worth

I will only give credence to the truth. As an RN who worked HIV Surveillance during the 1990’s I believe I have insight into what Dr. Fauci did for the world. Unless you watched young men, women & children die before your eyes from a virus that no one knew about until the early 1980’s and all we could do was hold their hands you have no right to express your hateful, unfounded opinions wasting paper and ink. To have the complete audacity to call for this man to be arrested for crimes against humanity…your complete ignorance has no bounds. Thank you Dr.Fauci for all you have done and the miracles we have yet to realize.

Everything I feared was true…really is

I worked for fifty years as an RN. I am a good citizen, I pay my taxes, I raised two amazing boys who are contributing members of society. My husband and I were so looking forward to retirement and finally having more than a weekend to enjoy our lives. Then suddenly nine years ago everything we worked for seemed to fall apart all because of one fatally flawed, narcissistic, misogynist, homophobic, xenophobic and just plain sick human being. His only true talent is projection. He’s turned every Republican into scared little children. If our founding fathers were made of today’s GOP we’d still be under the crown. The author refers to him frequently as our reality star president. He stands for nothing except himself. He is truly all ID. The only reason he is running now is to stay out of jail. So at 71 I’m not relaxing because I cannot. I’ve got to work everyday to make sure this maniac and his 2025 Agenda never see the light of day. My heart does not have time to ache…there is too much to do.

Informative,..scary as hell…a wake up call for ALL Americans

When my son first told me he and his young wife and my grandson were moving to Texas to pursue teaching jobs for better pay I was afraid…and that was twenty years ago! Each year they are down there I get a little more scared. My son is a math teacher & coach and his wife is a librarian. I worry about them daily and look anxiously forward until the day they are able to leave there forever. I don’t understand how a man so morally bankrupt has become the guiding star for so many folks on the right. They are not able able to see and acknowledge their own hypocrisy. I want to ask these folks just one question. Would any of you be supporting Barack Obama the way you are supporting the former president if he were the one on trial in New York? I’m thinking no. The divisiveness of how that “man” has turned neighbor against neighbor, family members against family members is an Adolf Hitler move! The existential threat to our country and our lives is present everywhere but none so apparent as in our schools. Another Hitler tactic. Just ask Steve Bannon who prophesied that school board elections would be a path to “save the nation”. Seriously??? These two immoral, racist, misogynist infidels are who you want as your guiding lights in our schools? Hear this… WE WON’T LET YOU! I believe in our democracy and the separation of church and state. It may not feel like it right now but…THERE ARE MORE OF US THAN YOU!!
