The book provides comprehensive insights into the story of trauma.
The beginning, middle, end, and even beyond are well introduced and elaborated on.
There's an inherent call to action: to heal from your own trauma, as well as do what you can - small or great - to help our fellow human brothers and sisters heal from their's.

Alyssa and Jeff are so vulnerable and so loving in their telling of their life stories and love stories.
This book won't blow your mind with "love hacks", no, it'll gently shift your perspective to God's truth - like daily bread, like God's gentleness, slowly but surely setting you along the way.

I don't say this lightly: everyone needs to read this book!
Wow!
I love the thought behind it, the way it's so well researched and how Jeff includes real life examples, via Spotlighting a family!
This book is brilliant.
God written all over it!
My heart longs for this type of family structure, as my family stands, it's going to be one of the most difficult things to partner with God for our restoration, but I feel hope and am up to it, knowing that out there, many share this God vision and are doing life this way!
There were two repeated sentences that may have been missed during editing, but still worth every cent!
I 100% recommend it!
I was so sad when I got to end!

CS Lewis is brilliant and brilliantly explains Christianity.
I hope that everyone who reads his book or listens to the audiobook does themself the favour of being honest and allows the words to confront and challenge their beliefs.

I finished it in one setting. Wow!
Stories about encountering God always have my full attention, Heaven is For Real is no exception.
It is interesting how Colton's encounter unfolds and the patience from the parents in asking him questions.

Maybe read the book yourself...?

Patricia is an amazing person! I love her!
However, I didn't find myself scrambling to listen to her audiobook. The content is good, but Patricia is not completely herself in reading the audiobook and I just couldn't get over it. She is such an amazing personality on her platforms and I expected her to bring that energy and passion.
Perhaps it's a first book thing, and hopefully she'll hit the next one out of the park!

Glorifying God means to make known the essence of God.
That is exactly what Baxter does in this book!
Baxter doesn't explain every detail behind the theology of The Shack, but he does expand on Who God is and God's character, the manner in which he does this is absolute brilliance.
