Historia
Lady Georgiana Rannoch has once again been called into service by Her Majesty the Queen. This time she's sent to Nice on a secret assignment that's nothing to sneeze at: recover the Queen's stolen snuff box. As much of an honor as it is to be trusted by Her Majesty, an even greater honor awaits Georgie in Nice - as Coco Chanel herself asks Georgie to model her latest fashion. But when a necklace belonging to the Queen is stolen on the catwalk, Georgie has to find two priceless items-and solve a murder. How's a girl to find any time to go to the casino?

I want more! These books absolute gems...
Revisado: 06-15-13
Georgie's task for the Queen this time takes a decidedly spooky turn and prim, proper, stable Georgie faces danger with grace and aplomb. I absolutely love how she handles difficult situations. Congrats to Rhys Bowen for creating such an exciting series with highly likeable characters. The narrator does an EXCELLENT job with all the voices and I'm so happy I bought all six books on sale. I will definitely buy more from this author. Quite enjoyable!

Agatha Award-winning author Rhys Bowen’s charming combination of intrigue and romance blended with a touch of humor shines when performed by Audible Hall of Fame narrator Katherine Kellgren, whose deft range and impeccable accent work make it hard to believe this isn’t a multicast performance.

Pure unadulterated fun!
Revisado: 06-02-13
Would you listen to Her Royal Spyness again? Why?
Well written with many laugh out loud moments. Kept me entertained throughout. Definitely worth a second, third, and fourth listen if you ask me!
What was one of the most memorable moments of Her Royal Spyness?
Every minute.
Have you listened to any of Katherine Kellgren’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I just love listening to Kellgren's voice. I have listened to her in Robin Hobb's books and thoroughly enjoyed those performances too.
In the Royal Spyness series, she seems a perfect fit for Georgie. She has so many accents that make each character literally come alive. Much better than just reading words on a page. She is consistent and does not make any mistakes in pronunciation. What a true professional!
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Laughed out loud in many instances (which got my husband wondering what was so funny about doing laundry).
Any additional comments?
I would love to hear more from this author. I am on the 4th book already and have become thoroughly engrossed in this series.

When he’s not vanquishing villainous gods or dodging demons, 2,000-year-old Druid Atticus O’Sullivan can be found behind the counter of Third Eye Books and Herbs in modern-day Tempe, Arizona, literally minding his own business. But when an evil sorcerer - and amateur shoplifter - snatches an ancient Egyptian tome of black magic, The Grimoire of the Lamb, Atticus is not sheepish about pursuing him to the ends of the earth...or at least to the Land of the Pharaohs.

Background noise on audio.
Revisado: 06-02-13
Would you try another book from J. R. R. Tolkien and/or Rob Inglis?
If they were recorded in the same studio I may not. There was a hissing in the background on this audio recording. I absolutely loved the Narrator and the book I already knew to be fabulous, but listening with a background noise was killing me. It was made worse by the editing cuts which had no background noise so they were made extremely noticeable.
Which character – as performed by Rob Inglis – was your favorite?
His narration was great, he is very talented man with voices and his singing perfect. Loved all his voices.
If this book were a movie would you go see it?
Yes, but I'm leery of anything Hollywood puts out lately since they always add sex scenes etc.

Historia
Evie’s always thought of herself as a normal teenager, even though she works for the International Paranormal Containment Agency, her ex-boyfriend is a faerie, she’s falling for a shape-shifter, and she’s the only person who can see through paranormals’ glamours. But Evie’s about to realize that she may very well be at the center of a dark faerie prophecy promising destruction to all paranormal creatures. So much for normal.

Revisado: 04-13-13
Would you listen to Paranormalcy again? Why?
Oh yes. Evie totally rocks!
What did you like best about this story?
The main character Evie. She is intelligent, quick on her feet, and looks "bleeping" awsome in pink!
Which character – as performed by Emily Eiden – was your favorite?
Evie of course! Her vampire voices were hilarious though. Excellent reading overall.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Evie finding out she has been deceived by the people she loves.
Any additional comments?
Fast paced book written for teens, but enjoyable for all "bleeping" ages!

Historia
There are some odd things about Nate’s new apartment. Of course, he has other things on his mind. He hates his job. He has no money in the bank. No girlfriend. No plans for the future. So while his new home isn’t perfect, it’s livable. The rent is low, the property managers are friendly, and the odd little mysteries don’t nag at him too much. At least, not until he meets Mandy, his neighbor across the hall, and notices something unusual about her apartment. And Xela’s apartment. And Tim’s. And Veek’s.

Good book, but not sure about Whispersync!
Revisado: 04-10-13
This book was my first Whispersync purchase (Audible/Kindle combo) and I was highly disappointed. While I listened to the audio version I read along in the Kindle version. To my amazement, the Kindle and Audible books did not match! There were many places I had to rewind the audio quite a few times in order to find the place in the Kindle book. Words replaced with different words (same meaning), sentences switched around, sentences at the end of the paragraph instead of at the beginning, spelling of words, etc. There was even a spot where one version said "seven" and the other "six" referring to a time period (this was in the last chapter and by that time I had gone completely crazy trying to follow along). I'd love to know which version is the real Unabridged version??? I got the impression that the publisher used Microsoft Word with the auto-correct options set to default (I call it dummy defaults) and when spell-checking the document simply did not pay attention to the grammar check moving sentences and words around, etc.
Suffice it to say I will be looking to see if this problem pops up in my other Whispersync purchases or if it was particular to this book. Not so sure I like the idea of two Unabridged versions of an author's work not being exactly the same.... Other than those highly irritating irregularities, I enjoyed the book. It was my first experience with this author and I will not hesitate to buy more of his work in the future.

The downside to faking your own death is that people tend to get upset when they find out they’ve been had. In Atticus O’Sullivan’s case, they’re upset enough to come after him to make sure he dies for real this time. Yet he can’t remain in hiding anymore: He has to bind his apprentice, Granuaile, to the earth so that she can become the first new Druid in centuries.
