Absolutely splendid!!

This is a truly great book with an absolutely splendid narration. Isherwood is a remarkable author and it’s a pity that there are so few of his titles available on audio. Simon Prepple’s narration is flawless. A truly great listening experience!

Magnificent book but audio is crap

A real classic. Only problem with this recording is the sound quality. There are background noises and you get really annoyed with the sound of the recorder going on an of as the narrator speaks and pauses. You may stand it if you have other background noise, eg if you commute and listen in your car.

Disappointing sequel

After the first book I was really looking forward to the sequel. However, it was far from meeting my expectations. The storyline is more simple (Star Trek & Planet of the Apes replica) and the characters seem (although most are robots) unauthentic. The narrator does a good job but the plot is so thin and jokes so Iame I had to force myself to finish this book.

The plot was transparent from the very beginning, took 15 minutes to guess how it would end and there were no surprises on the way there.

Zombie spree

Well, not really what I had expected. The book had good ratings and I thought it was something similar to We are Legion, which I enjoyed very much, but this is something else. Perhaps something for young adults who like zombie and vampire books...

Wish there was an abridged version

This is a good book but there are certain passages which goes on, what feels like, for ever. I would have preferred an abridged version of the book, as there are certain passages which are extremely long preaching.

Found it hard to take this book serious as it mainly is based on one young man's experiments with trying to be productive. The scientific basis of the book is largely ideas picked up by other productivity bloggers which he try to apply on himself. It may be inspiring for a college student or the like but not for anyone looking for more fact based advice.

As good as it gets!

Extremely well narrated book. Classic hard boiled detective story that takes you back to the 1920s. So well performed that you actually picture the black and white movie playing in front of you.

Cheezy

Narrator sounds like she was talking to a small child. Cannot understand the ratings of this book, it is really cheesy at times. With references to the parent as 'the pole star' and the annoying voice of the narrator, I find it really difficult to take this book seriously.
