Way Better Than Expected
Revisado: 04-07-25
I was surprised to find this book extraordinarily relatable, and offer a depth of experience & reflection that was grounding and inspiring. The book details Elle's experiences throughout her big life. That in itself was eye opening, in relationship to understanding the author, but also more fully understanding life, and even plenty of material to reflect on myself & my own choices. The book is full of wisdom & grace Elle has gleened from meeting and dealing with her "blind spots". We all have them. What differentiates people is really how we deal with our said blind spots. I love her fierce independence, despite her tendency to lean on those who couldn't handle being learned on. I loved hearing about her innovation, business ventures & another women's perspective on these things. One of the many things I took from this book is to THINK BIGGER & love more fully. thank you for sharing your journey with us Elle!

Historia
Jess Johnston used to feel alone in her mess. In a random burst of courage, she started sharing those insecurities and struggles out loud, and what she found shocked her. Again and again, people replied, “Me too! I thought I was the only one!” Over the past decade she’s reached hundreds of thousands of women with her messages of authenticity and refreshing realness, and this is what she’s found: Women are really, really hard on themselves, and we should stop it.

Do yourself a favor and give this book a listen or a read. i can imagine that enough people read this book, it will surely affect the collective conscious & affect our culture in the best possible way! ❤️

Unique Genius
Revisado: 05-13-24
The author gives accounts of personal experiences and that of research and of first-hand experiences with clients of her own which led her to both scientifically and intuitively finesters to women's health that were not previously thought of by the mainstream Medical industry. Her perspective is unique in that she trusts her gut & intuition to lead her to solutions that could later be proved by science. I appreciate this method deeply, as it's often looked down upon, and as a result minimize & even eliminates possible & more holistic solutions to body health & wellness

why don't they teach this stuff in school?
Revisado: 03-27-24
Love this book! I'm a meditation teacher, used to be yoga teacher and live a life where I try to stay aware of balance between drivev& rest. however, we live in a very demanding world. What we're calling "extreme self care" should be a basic owner's manual taught to kids in school, but our cultures bar is so low, that most of us completely neglect ourselves as a badge of honor. This book is a breath of fresh air as it reminds us of what we already know Intuitively.

real advice is missing
Revisado: 03-24-24
I typically LOVE this podcast & I love Gay &
The problem with this particular episode is, considering these are two wealthy men, there's very minimal applicable advice. The two key take Aways is "be willing to pay to get rid of annoyances/ don't tie yourself to a low quality situation for money". "Money generally is a long game." They mostly chat about philosophical perspectives. This episode would have been bette- time-spent if we talked about the question the host asked his son Zack. "What is your freedom number?" and then how to properly answer that question, and how do you start building a life that allows for financial freedom & an abundance mindset. That seems more in line with truly sharing what they've learned that has helped them get to where they are. It would require more pre- show prep, but truly helpful

Through hard work and, well, tenacity, Jack Black and Kyle Gass catapulted themselves into rock superstardom. But before they were the only two members of the best rock band on earth, they were just Jack and Kyle, two theater students finding their footing in Los Angeles. The D’s trajectory was a slow and steady rise from clubs to a guest spot on the hit show Mr. Show on HBO to albums to film to headlining festivals across the globe. But it wasn’t without its pains. This is their story. These are their Words + Music.

Absolutely Love
Revisado: 11-03-22
I'm bad at writing reviews. I'll just get to the point, if you're soulful, you want to have a deeper understanding of money, beyond conventional teaching & logic, this book is for you. This book is all about mindset. I'm going to listen to it at least 2 more times. Ironically, I got a question answered that I had been wondering about my own behavior around money. I had suspected what was going on, but didn't hear anyone talk about it, and although I kept working on it, until hearing Tosha's take on it in this beautiful book, I want able to get my mind wrapped around it. My behavior has had an instantaneous shift because I have clarity I was needing. I'm excited to keep exploring her concepts in my continued growth around money intelligence
