Dino doesn’t mind spending time with the dead. His parents own a funeral home, and death is literally the family business. He’s just not used to them talking back. Until Dino’s ex-best friend July dies suddenly - and then comes back to life. Except not exactly. Somehow, July is not quite alive and not quite dead. As Dino and July attempt to figure out what’s happening, they must also confront why and how their friendship ended so badly and what they have left to understand about themselves, each other, and all those grand mysteries of life.

Fantastic Listen!

I loves the story and the narration is fantastic. One of my favorite treats is an audiobook with multiple narrators done right.

Historia
In The Vegan Solution: Why the Vegan Diet Often Fails and How to Fix It, prolific author Matt Stone shares his pioneering research on the role of metabolic rate in health as applied to a vegan diet. In the book you'll learn about "The Frigid Fourteen" - fourteen metabolism-lowering mistakes that are frequently being committed in the vegan world. These simple, misguided mistakes are commonplace and extremely detrimental to the metabolic rate and all of the body's systems affected by it. Yet they are all simple to fix, returning the body back to proper function, oftentimes while remaining completely vegan.

Buyer Beware! This book is a wash.

Buyer Beware! This book is a wash.
Revisado: 09-19-13
What would have made The Vegan Solution: Why The Vegan Diet Often Fails and How to Fix It better?
The biggest problem I have with this book is that Matt Stone is a food writer who just does some internet research so he can write a book. The information was not well sourced or documented. He repeatedly mentioned a study or a population but never cited where this information came from. There were also so many contradictions.
What could Matt Stone have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
The audio could have been much better, it echoed at times and the conversational style of the writing did NOT work as an audiobook.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Confusion. As in, what the hell is this man talking about. One minute it's restrictive diets are bad and the next he is telling you not to eat nuts.
Any additional comments?
Please look anywhere but this book for nutritional information or information about a vegan diet. Any old internet website has got to be better than this book.

Historia
It was a case that haunts Bobby Dodge to this day - the case that nearly killed him and changed his life forever. Now, in an underground chamber on the grounds of an abandoned Massachusetts mental hospital, the gruesome discovery of six mummified corpses resurrects his worst nightmare: the return of a killer he thought dead and buried.

The Narrator Makes This a Must Listen
Revisado: 07-15-13
Would you listen to Hide again? Why?
Maybe, one of the great things about this book is you have no idea what is going to happen. You can only get that kind of suspense on the first listen.
Which character – as performed by Maggi-Meg Reed – was your favorite?
Maggi-Meg Reed was so great at all of the characters, she is truly an astounding narrator. My favorite might be when she does the voice of an old school Boston detective, she just nails his character.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Reed doesn't hold back when the main character is emotional, she brings that emotion into her reading especially near the end. She chokes up when the character chokes up.
Any additional comments?
I will be listening to other audiobooks by Reed. I couldn't stop listening to this book.
