Really fun story to listen to
Revisado: 02-28-25
Started this out just looking for a way to pass the time on my long drive to work. By the end of it I was a manic psycho belting down the freeway, whooping and cheering at every crescendo in the story. Really fun medieval fantasy romp filled with dynamic and likeable female characters, an epic storyline worthy of all 4 volumes, loathsome badguys, satisfyingly righteous violence, and enough steamy romance to keep me engaged from beginning to end. Darren Heavensgrace kicks ass! 10/10 would recommend to fans of the LitRPG harem fantasy genre.

Best practical game guide I've encountered
Revisado: 11-14-23
Good and straightforward guide to success with women.
Details the rules of engagement. Anatomy of a situation. Do's and Don't's. Shows how others have failed and how to conduct yourself differently so you don't end up in the same situation. Finally, a straightforward guide on how to conduct yourself in every interaction. Very comprehensive. Highly recommend.

Historia
When COVID-19 sweeps through New York City, Jamie Gray is stuck as a dead-end driver for food-delivery apps. That is, until Jamie makes a delivery to an old acquaintance, Tom, who works at what he calls “an animal rights organization”. Tom’s team needs a last-minute grunt to handle things on their next field visit. Jamie, eager to do anything, immediately signs on. What Tom doesn't tell Jamie is that the animals his team cares for are not here on Earth. Not our Earth, at at least. In an alternate dimension, dinosaur-like creatures named Kaiju roam a warm and human-free world.

Another fun, pulpy read from Scalzi

Average Joe gets sucked into a secret society of scientists and giant-monsters?
Just great prose and storytelling all-around. Relatable characters. Will Wheaton with his spirited narration is always a plus.
Great as a standalone story, but I'm gonna hold out hope for a sequel.

Historia
For decades we've been told that positive thinking is the key to a happy, rich life. "F*ck positivity," Mark Manson says. "Let's be honest, shit is f*cked, and we have to live with it." In his wildly popular Internet blog, Manson doesn't sugarcoat or equivocate. He tells it like it is - a dose of raw, refreshing, honest truth that is sorely lacking today. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck is his antidote to the coddling, let's-all-feel-good mind-set that has infected modern society and spoiled a generation, rewarding them with gold medals just for showing up.

I learned a lot from this book. It also helped me rediscover some of my childlike sense of wonder.
A boy embarks on a quest for buried treasure and ends up finding so much more than that.
This is the kind of story I would read to my kids before bedtime.

Nerdgasm.
Revisado: 01-02-17
As a huge fan of treasure hunts, riddles, and nerdy videogame/movie/80s-pop-culture references, I thoroughly enjoyed this story. Its like Indiana Jones combined with the Matrix, .Hack, Westworld, Tron, you-name-it videogame centric plotline, all revolving around this (dare I say?) religion for geeks. Epically satisfying to read/listen to. Its a bittersweet realization that I caught nearly every reference but hell I'm not complaining.
Wheaton, we'll always hate Wesly but I'd say you somewhat redeemed yourself with this narration. Bravo 👏
