I fell asleep so many times trying to finish this, the story was interesting, however it was simply read . No emotion or passion, no sadness or fear , so the scenes being read may be high intensity but it was just spoken and they lost all impact or connection. I suggest reading instead.

I see the potential for a great story, but just WAY to many added obstacles thrown in. With no good reason or transitions. I love a good twist but this was just annoying . These supposed amazing strong characters who handle these difficult life situations, yet can’t speak up for themselves and feelings , the story came to at least 5 climactic endings… but oops it was not the ending. So a good book for background noise when doing a project or cleaning house, but you will not lose any sleep with this book.

Ambrose Young was beautiful. He was tall and muscular, with hair that touched his shoulders and eyes that burned right through you. The kind of beautiful that graced the covers of romance novels, and Fern Taylor would know. She'd been reading them since she was 13. But maybe because he was so beautiful he was never someone Fern thought she could have...until he wasn't beautiful anymore.
