I really enjoyed this retelling of Swan Lake. I knew very little about Swan Lake’s story, so I went into this with no real preconceptions. This wonderful LGBTQ and polyamorous fantasy version is worth listening to and it makes me want to learn more about the original story. The audiobook is narrated by Danni Deguire. She did an exemplary job, and I would like to hear more work from her. I love reading and hearing LGBTQ stories but am not a big fan of polyamory as I’m too jealous to share my darling loved one. But I really like how everyone’s feelings and individuality are respected in this book. We need more of this in our own society. I recommend this audiobook.

This book is magical. I loved this “opposites attract” romance. Raven and Kit are two people who feel they are broken. They meet on the Appalachian Trail and begin to heal each other. Not without some drama though. I felt very satisfied with how it all came together. I was very interested in learning about what it takes to hike the AT. It’s remarkable and was a very enjoyable aspect of the book. The romance, the characters they meet on the trail, the trail lore, all make a book worthy of your time. I listened to the audiobook version, narrated by Nym Kingsley. Nym was wonderful and I’d listen to other books they narrate.

This is the first book in the Tales from Norvegr series. It focuses on two shieldmaidens on opposite sides of the shield wall. This is a wonderful book filled with action, geopolitical treachery, drama, love and death. I really enjoyed the pacing of this book. It doesn’t rush into the relationship between Sigrid and Elyn so when they finally meet off the battlefield to solve a conspiracy, it is very satisfying. These two characters are well developed, and I was very invested in them. There are a lot of other terrific characters too, from heroes to villains. I listened to the audiobook version read by Rayne Potter. I was expecting a traditional narration, but it surprised me because it was read almost like an audio play. I highly recommend this series.

This is a very sweet, low stress romance. Perfect for a relaxing read (or listen) after a long day. I listened to the audiobook on my commute to and from work. Victoria Landon did a wonderful job narrating. I really liked the main characters but also their community of friends. There are some issues that our two MC’s must overcome to find happiness. I felt the resolution of Mercedes’ problem was a little too easy but again, this is a fluffy book to make you feel good and it did. I recommend it and will read more in the series.
