Great unexpected release

This was such a good book, Plenty of twists and turns to keep you on your toes. I sat through this in almost one sitting. I couldn't stop. Love Pam Godwin's books. He mind is awesome. My only wish would be that she would leave out her political bias.

I figured out that Penelope was basically her sisters replacement to these guys. There is just a bunch of ick in this story that I had a problem with and I am not typically one to shy away from things. I love things that are dirty and taboo, but them raw dogging Penelope right away after zero discussions, and finding out that she was her sisters replacement was just yuck. She was upset about for like a minute and then it was OK because they didn't feel as "strongly" for Eve as they did for Pen. Uhhh no. I skipped from chapter 31 to 51 because there was just nothing happening and that is about where she finds out that they were all doing her sister and then they proceed to take her 10 ways to Sunday on her headstone. No, just No. I can't ever feel the love between characters after that. They were just looking for her replacement. I could have been a better story I think without that. I was looking forward to these books, but I am not even going to go further. I am not sure how there are so many poisitive reviews on this. I should have paid attention to ALL of the negative 1 and 2 star reviews.

This book is terrible, I just can't figure out if it is the narration or the story. The story is pretty weak. The narration is soooo bad. The female narrator speaks so sickly sweet for the female voice and her male voice is so bad and breathy that it is distracting from the story and gives me the ick during the sexy scenes. Every time they have s-x, she is told when she can and can't "O". That gives me the ick too, because it simply doesn't work like that. You can't just tell a woman to "O" and it happens. She is sick as all sick can be to signal pregnancy, but as soon as she confirms the pregnancy the sickness goes away? A woman wrote this? I do not recommend this book. Do not waste your money/credit.

Was looking forward to this

Booktok had me waiting for this one and I was so excited. I waited for the second book to come out to start this. I am sooo bored! I was thinking maybe I was distracted and that was why I was having a hard time with it, so I looked at other reviews. I should have known since all the booktok reviews I read were sponsored. "paid". Very disappointing. I am DNF'ing at about 55% in.,

I am so bored that I am skipping ahead....

I have 4 1/2 hours left of this book and I am so ready for the conclusion. I loved Hawke. I ate up every moment of that book.

I am having so much trouble with this book. Maybe I just don't do drug addiction well. The constant talk about drugs is off putting. I just want to get to the point of this story. I am still not quite sure what it is. I am pretty sure that i will keep skipping ahead until I get to something that seems with listening to.

I am not a fan of Joe Arden's narration and it has nothing to do with his scandal. I wasn't a fan before all that happened. He act is up so much that it is too overboard. He needs to dial it back a little bit. He even made Hawke in his book seem like a big P**sy. CJ Bloom did a fine job.

What did I just waste my time and money on?!

I love me a good dirty book, I love me some BDSM. This book was terrible and a waste. I got the ick from the MMC. All he wanted until about the last 10 minutes of the book was to own the FMC. There was little to no relationship development. We never find out anything further from the mom calling. I thought the mom calling was a lead up to wanting to be back into the FMC's life due to her being photographed with the MMC, but nothing. No reason behind the call. This book was extremely lackluster at best. I am just glad that I only paid $1.99 for the book on a whispersync deal with KU and I didn't purchase the rest of the series until I tried book one. I don't think these are the authors for me.

Irritating

I don't know what it is about this author, but I just don't truly enjoy these books. There is enough suspense happening that it should keep me captivated, and there are plenty of sex scenes to be dirty, but they just aren't enough. Not enough description, explanation, something. I will finish these so I can get them out of my TBR, since I purchased the entire series a while back. Another reason why this author irritates me, is the characters are keeping secrets, but they internally think constantly about, "I have a secret, and I need to tell them, No, I can't tell them. Just say it or don't. You can tease people with secrets by not thinking about it in every chapter.

I loved this story and the series, however I just really didn't like the FMC, Breslin at all. She was so unlikable. She never once gave Asher the chance to explain himself. Once she FINALLY realizes this she is still self serving and doesn't want to give him the benefit of doubt. With her having a better personality and believing in him instead of people who actually don't deserve it, this would have been a 5 stars all the way around. Even to the end, I still didn't find her likable. Especially with the way she treated Preston and Kit in that one scene in Fold. (I listened to that one first).

The narrators did great.

3rd Person POV - Story just OK

Let me start with I am a huge fan of Pam Godwin. I have had these books in my TBR for a while now and saw that the first two books in the series were dropping off of the Included Catalog. I have already purchased all of the other books. I am now a bit disappointed that I did that. I am not a fan of 3rd person POV especially in Audio form, but don't like it in written form. I will say that she has done it well, but I still don't prefer it. I never thought I would 2 star a Pam Godwin book, but this book to me was just boring. I do like how Van redeemed himself, kind of. I just had a really hard time getting into the story. I am really hoping that the next books peak my interest a bit more. I was looking forward to the last story in this set since it is about Cole from the Tangled Lies series which I absolutely loved. Here's to hoping I make it that far.

Better than Expected

I sat on this book for so long because I am not really info F/F, but I love Pen D. I put this on my January TBR because I needed to just get it done and listened to. I shouldn't have put this off for so long. I should have known that it would have been great being a Pen D book. The Angst, bullying and the reasons for the bullying are perfection. I was honestly afraid that I would hate this book, but it was the absolute opposite. I have now ready every book in Pen D's catalog with the exception of 1 book, because I am waiting for more from that series to come out before I dive in. I just wish this were a duet, because sometimes it is a little hard to follow who is saying what between the two females when these is banter or action.
