The story was a good mystery which was solved only right at the end. however, the reader was poor. whenever he was speaking as the protagonist, his voice was level, with no expression, and without emotion.

A compelling read with too much profanity

this is my second Tom Clancy book, they take some getting used to because he goes on in great detail about various events and stories before they all come together. however, I have learned a lot from that detail. this book was a compelling read and left me desperately needing the next book in the series.

Graphic sex

I listened to the first in the series. The story and the narrator were both good - except some graphic descriptions of tortured people and one borderline graphic sex scene. I didn't get very far into this book until there was a very graphic sex scene; I stopped listening and asked for a refund. I won't listen to anything else from this author.

Putting up with frequent f*** bombs

Although a bit dark, the story was good as far as I read. I gave up on it about 1/3 through because of the course language, especially frequent f***. I like books that don't rely on crass and profane language in the vain attempt to make it more realistic.

I didn't finish the book due to boredom.

between the flashbacks and the two detailed narrative of every little thought and event I was bored with book. I can't listen to an audiobook all the way through in one sitting. this story was confusing to me. I kept listening and listening hoping it would all come together for me but eventually I gave up.

A wonderful and historical treatise on corruption

I appreciate how Senator Cruz lays out the facts and documents them so well. He amply lays out the case proving corruption in our federal government and in its FBI, IRS and other agencies; the weaponization of our government to harass and take down those with whom they disagree.

I like books with multiple readers and with sound effects, this did not disappoint. However the main character, Paul, was not the best reader.
