Comprehensive run down of western civilisation
Revisado: 02-16-21
This is a great series of lectures giving the audience a comprehensive view of western civilisation starting from 1500. I was truly intrigued by the detail analysis of the events and major turning points learning from the professor. I would highly recommend this lecture for anyone who is interested in learning from history to create a more accurate world view.

Historia
The very word "reformation" is shrouded in conflict, bringing to mind new beginnings, partisan church politics, and the dawn of a modern world vision. Indeed, when you hear it, you probably think of a single event - Martin Luther posting The Ninety-Five Theses on the door of Castle Church in Wittenberg in 1517. The truth, however, is much more nuanced - and interesting - than that. Join award-winning historian, Prof. Christopher M. Bellitto, PhD, in The Reformations, a fascinating journey through Church history.

Revisado: 09-17-19
Professor Christopher is simply outstanding and entertaining at the same time. I would recommend this lecture to anyone who wants to have a good understanding the reformation of the church. However, I’m still left perplex about whether the church should include the Protestants but maybe it is an irrelevant questions altogether.

High Recommended Lecture
Revisado: 08-28-19
Gaining deep understanding of our thinking and how philosophically we drive our thinking is helping us to understand life better. This leads to joy for me and I would recommend it to anyone who intends to embark on a philosophical journey. However, my joy comes from using the teachings of Jesus Christ as my reference point to unlock the wisdom in this lecture.

Historia
Recent years have seen the introduction of concepts from the new and exciting field of complexity science that have captivated the attention of economists, sociologists, engineers, businesspeople, and many others. These include tipping points, the wisdom of crowds, six degrees of separation (or Kevin Bacon), and emergence. Complexity science can shed light on why businesses or economies succeed and fail, how epidemics spread and can be stopped, and what causes ecological systems to rebalance themselves after a disaster.

Historia
For his victims, for their families and for the investigators tasked with finding him, the senselessness and brutality of the Golden State Killer's acts were matched only by the powerlessness they felt at failing to uncover his identity. Then, on April 24, 2018, authorities arrested 72-year-old Joseph James DeAngelo at his home in Citrus Heights, Calif., based on DNA evidence linked to the crimes. Amazingly, it seemed, evil finally had a name. Please note: This work contains descriptions of violent crime and sexual assault and may not be suitable for all listeners.

We must protect and advance this genetic genealogy technique to solve crime and bring justice to the victims. Everyone should have their DNA profiled as a deterrent to crimes and evil doers. Commercial exploitation must not happen and attitude towards DNA profiling for the greater good should adapt for the greater good.
Thank you Paul Holes and team. To persevere that long to bring justice to the victims is exemplary and God sent. 🙏🏻

With Dr. Bellitto as your guide, you'll look at the major periods of church history: early, medieval, reformation, and modern. As you take this journey, you'll examine changes and continuities across the centuries.

Quality decisions come from knowledge of the past
- De James Rush en 05-17-18
A very good lesson in church history
Revisado: 02-18-19
Dr. Bellitto has beautifully put this course together for all catholics and even the Protestants to appreciate and know about our church history. I cannot agree more with Dr. Bellitto that our church history has helped us with our faith formation by remembering the past and learn from these lessons. The church history in part is about revealing the Truth and to a some extend tempering with truth to know the boundaries of Truth. An institution has been built to organise ourselves and go about administering truth and since it is staffed with people we will falter. The need for forgiveness from victims of the church through and by the love of Christ is necessary for the church to move forward. Not forgiving the church’s past iniquities will be wrong, and the victims will be ourselves if we don’t forgive since the church has the divine ordination to persist. The church under different leaderships will continue to be reconciled with God through its effort to bring Gospel to the world.
This lecture has enriched my understanding of our Catholic Church profoundly and immensely. Hopefully it will for you.
Thank you Dr Bellitto.

Dr. Greg Bottaro explains how mindfulness can help us become aware of the present moment and accept it. Catholic mindfulness is a way to practically trust God more in our lives. Instead of separating faith from day-to-day life, mindfulness helps bridge the gap so we can feel the sense of safety and peace God intends us to have. Following the exercises in this audiobook, you'll discover how mindfulness can help you be more present to everything in your life from a trip to the grocery store or relaxing with friends to listening more attentively to a homily.

Fantastic Course
Revisado: 08-15-18
This is one of the best courses to take for all catholics. Brought to mind the importance of living in the presence and embrace of God and entrust that as long as we live according to His will, He will take care of everything for us.
Trusting is indeed important and yet difficult to do and this practice is the closest one can get.
Thanks Dr. Greg

Great course
Revisado: 06-23-18
It’s a monumental task to attempt at such a feat of walking the journey on the other side of history from an ordinary person’s perspective. To be able to piece many different things together and draw conclusions is no easy task. Much caution should have been said about the many gaps that lies in the discoveries. The human heart is very deep and to make judgements about their inner true feelings can be erroneous at best, therefore disclaimer is necessary.
Enjoyed the course thoroughly to say the least having spent more than 24 hours of listening.
Great job professor.

An Abridged Version of "The New Testament" Course
- De Justin Bailey en 09-03-15
Course didn’t match the title
Revisado: 04-26-18
Insufficient details were covered about the process, who decided what books to include in the canonical bible and why. The reasons for an inclusion or exclusion of certain text should be examined and reasoned to give readers a sense of the intention behind the decisions making process.
The bible is not meant to be a historical text book and to read it or even interpret it from that perspective is entirely right. There are facts, there are gaps and even incongruence content in the bible, but that doesn’t make the bible unbelievable. The bible is a God inspired book written by man who has freewill to act against God. The gaps in the bible are meant to be filled by faith not the intellect. The main message or theme in the bible that is completely consistent is God’s love for humanity and His will to save us from damnation. Words and languages have limits in expressing His will and the complexities involved in salvation history that is still unfolding. Man attempting to postulate God’s intention will inevitably run into issues. The book of Job quite clearly state that we can question and even get angry with God, but we must have faith in order to walk this journey with Him. Because somethings are just beyond our comprehension not because He can not explain to us but there are prerequisite to some knowledge. It’s like if you don’t understand basic maths how can you understand calculus.
However, this course has thought me to question deeper about some aspects of the bible and seek answers to them.
