Actually it was a good book but I read so many reviews about how people couldn’t put it down, so many twists, I guess I was expecting more. Like going into a movie and expecting it to be awesome but it’s not. It was very good but not what I expected!

The horrible narration

Overall I enjoyed the story although I wanted Jordan to get her sight back. But, OMG, I could hardly listen to the narrator, that Boston accent! I think there were 2 different narrators. The male was fine but the female, when she read for Spencer, he sounded like a woman, high pitched at that…I read as much of it as I could to avoid hearing it. I will check and make sure I don’t choose a book with this narrator again! I do enjoy the Mary Burton books though!!

A Little Too Slow

Overall I enjoyed this book. I felt it was too drawn out, some of the information could’ve been left out without damaging the plot. I’m not really fond of the narrator (I’m hesitant to get the audio because of that) but I read a lot of it and hopefully I’ll get accustomed to the narrator. I will get book 2 as some reviews said it was better and, like I mentioned, it was a good read! Here’s to 5 stars next time!!

The story line was gripping but the story teller made the surgeon sound like she was a 3-yo child. I wanted SO bad to finish the book but couldn’t get past that voice. Plan to read the book myself!! Will make sure I don’t get another book where she’s the narrator…

I almost stopped listening to this book until about halfway through. (It was the only audio book I had at the time so I kept on.) I’m glad I did!! From about mid-book until I finished, it became riveting and the cherry on top is, I liked the ending. Don’t give up, it’s good!!

First, taking the whining, crying baby/kids to the police station was unbelievable, overall irritating! Then by the time I got through the drawn out suspect interviews I was done, Planned not to finish the book but…I’m glad I did. Pulled everything together really well and I enjoyed it! I still say, it’s okay to MENTION a character has kids but otherwise, forget them!! Good luck!
