Sure, rip my heart out. I didn't need it anyway.
Revisado: 04-16-21
Okay let me just say right out of the gate that this story has a lot of detail explanations that seem meaningless at first, and I mean A LOT of detail.
BUT!!
These seemingly meaningless details play a HUGE part towards the end of the story, and really come together in one big sucker punch of a conclusion.
The vocal reading and performance was engaging, clear, and immersive with the emotions of the characters. I found myself moving between harsh initial judgements of each character, to deeply invested in the weirdly mundane but gripping realities of their lives. I found myself worrying after characters I didn't like within the first two hours of the book and not knowing what to think or what to do when it was nearing the last hour of the book.
By the end, my heart felt so gutted and confused on how it should feel that all I could do was bother my fiancé for an hour over how much I hated my decision to read this book, and going back to revisit it again.
To the author, you suck and also great work on this one. I am now going to go lay on the floor for an hour to recover.
Happy reading, everyone. 📚

No matter how bad rage looks or feels, keep in mind that it is a perfectly valid feeling and a natural part of life, just like any other emotion. Simply put, there are things in this world that make you unhappy to the point of being angry. It's how you express the emotion of anger, however, that can be considered "appropriate" or "inappropriate." When you allow any emotion to get the best out of you, you end up needlessly harming yourself and the people around you. If you regularly find yourself in frustration, then it's time to learn a more constructive way to deal with your fury.

I can't focus
Revisado: 12-21-20
The narrator is speaking in a grandiose manner, and puts way more emphasis on HOW they say the words, that they continually stumble over or merge two words together.
You know that thing that you do when you read out loud but don't pay attention to what you're actually saying? Yeah, that's what's happening here. I can't help but notice it which is making it very, very difficult to focus. This issue, along with a metric butt ton of repetitive paragraphs and phrases and highly generic and unhelpful tips makes this a pretty hard pass for me.
That's not to say someone out there might find this useful in some sense. It's just not for me. I'd recommend looking up more varied and useful anger management tips other than "take deep breaths and don't drink " Because if taking deep breaths ACTUALLY worked, we wouldn't be here looking for a book on anger management, now would we?

Historia
This book consists of two books, namely: Personality Disorders and Sadism and Sociopathy. We will explore the definitions and applications of the above-mentioned terms, as well as analyze the psychopath brain in further depth. Moreover, some section will go over how to spot a psychopath or sociopath more easily, how you can recognize it in children, or how to interact with someone like that. The audiobook will close with a short overview of some of the evilest people in the world, all of which had sociopath tendencies in one degree or another, and even sadistic ones.

I'll give it 3 stars in the story area because the info was decent. But did the editor not realize how often words were being repeated in the same sentence, or how many times the same phrase was said in a single chapter? I got through the whole thing but not without some serious irritation.
It reads a lot like a school textbook written by someone still working towards their psychology degree and just trying to meet the bare minimum for their end of year assignment. Again, decent info. But christ, revise your work. That's what an editor is FOR.

Historia
Some lawbreakers are psychopaths, and some psychopaths break the law, but for the most part, the psychopaths among us are ordinary people with distinct traits and qualities. Sociopaths have a distinct disorder that makes them unlike all the other ones. You may even know some yourself, or maybe you have been influenced by one in the past. In this book, you will learn: some dissimilarities between sociopaths and psychopaths, what role a conscience plays in the psychopath’s mind, and much more.

Decent.
Revisado: 05-22-20
Good content, but poor reading. The narrator pauses at awkward moments and can't seem to read a full sentence without chewing on his words or breathing into the mic. There was a lot more psychological i fo on anxiety and depression than the initial psychopathy and the sociopathy was referenced in passing.
Boring overall. Take a listen if you're stuck doing chores for 3 hours and want a nap later.

GRIPPING!!!
Revisado: 05-21-20
I must have paced and bit my nails the entire seven hours I was running around all day listening to this! and that ending! That ENDING!!
Oh my GOD it was so worth the money. The character's behavior and reasoning fit so well and it leaves you wide eyed and appalled once it all comes to a climax. By and far one of the best books I've read this year. I know anyone reading this might be squinting with disbelief, but hear me out.
Even if you find you don't like it initially, stick it out. it picks up at the two hour mark, and will have you by your throat until the end. Take a chance and go for it! And hey, even if you don't like it, you can always refund the credit or money used on the book. So there's literally nothing to lose here.
You've got time to kill, and this book has the tension to fill. Take a dive into a book worth biting your nails to!

EASILY one of the best books!
Revisado: 05-18-20
What?
WHAT!
THAT ENDING!! This has got to be the most well written, amazingly thought out book I've ever had the pleasure of listening to! Not only were the characters rounded and interesting, but each of them had their own motives and reasoning for their actions that made you WANT to hear more.
There are so many books we read that introduce characters that we have little to no interest in and we are given no reason to care about them or their situations in the slightest. Or if they do, it is weak at best. Something surface level and just shallow enough to have you doing more than your fair share of eyeballs and stressful forehead rubbing at the sheer stupidity of it.
But this? THIS book? Each of the characters is crafted in such a unique and believable fashion! Their thoughts and ideals all differ and clash in a manner that quite literally keeps you at the edge of your seat. I can only hope to be as good a writer in the distant future! What an absolutely splendid, brilliant, and haunting story of the human mind and all the flaws it carries along with its burdens.
I absolutely LOVED it.

Historia
For decades we've been told that positive thinking is the key to a happy, rich life. "F*ck positivity," Mark Manson says. "Let's be honest, shit is f*cked, and we have to live with it." In his wildly popular Internet blog, Manson doesn't sugarcoat or equivocate. He tells it like it is - a dose of raw, refreshing, honest truth that is sorely lacking today. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck is his antidote to the coddling, let's-all-feel-good mind-set that has infected modern society and spoiled a generation, rewarding them with gold medals just for showing up.
