I agree with another reviewer on the character development - realistic and not at all forced. Story is engaging, intelligent and very fun. I really enjoyed the characters- Ivan particularly made me laugh. Looking forward to more from this author.

The description of this book made me hesitate- how could this end well? Turned out to be the best audible purchase I’ve made in a long time. Just give it a listen - this book is a rare gem 🌟 and genuinely hilarious

I’ve loved all of Mr. Pearson’s novels so far and was not disappointed here. This one surprised me as it didn’t take the trajectory I thought it might based on previous books. Beautiful but flawed main character and a mysterious stranger fit the bill though :)

Thunk returns!

This story begins slow as you get to know Jake & his problems then things get interesting with unexpected developments. This Mungo Thunk novel solidly stands alone but the first one is a great (and often very funny) introduction to the character. Keith Pearson has moved to my short list of favorite authors. No problems with the narration. Thank you!

Unique, smart, funny

Went into this one expecting something completely different but was pleasantly surprised. The ending left me wanting more but in a good way!! A new (for me) author to follow. Both narrators did a superb job!!

The best!

This series keeps surprising me and not just because I’m still hooked after book 16! The mystery is fresh and interesting and the characters we know continue to evolve with a promising new character introduced as well. Probably one of the funniest in the series - Hoon’s ‘mission’ was spectacular :)

I dig it!

Fantastically weird and hilarious! Several passages were so funny I had to re-listen. Characters are completely idiotic one moment then profound the next. The plot centers around seemingly mundane issues but at the same time is so bizarre it's impossible to predict how things will unfold. Narration is perfect. Thank you, Mr. Walsh!

It is outstanding!! Haven’t left a written review in a while as time is precious but I listen to TONS of audiobooks and this one stands out. I was surprised at the turn her life took early in H’s journey and the catalyst that brought her there. That was just the beginning of a vibrant story with laughs along the way - enhanced by amazing narration from Karen Cass :)
