Historia
Jason and his companions managed to forestall the inexorable undead, but their battle is far from done. Both they and their enemies are scattered across a strange realm, one that someone must conquer if anyone is to get out alive. Territory by territory, factions fight to reunite their people and conquer the realm. Jason must contend with alliances he doesn’t want, friends he cannot find, and enemies ranging from angelic despots to the power of an undead god. He must face a realm that has been warped by his own mind and find a way to save a friend whose sacrifice got them this far.

It was too short. I wanted the story to continue in this book. Now, I don’t know how long it will be until the next one comes out, but hope it’s not as long as this one.

Historia
My name's Bill Ryder and I have no life, but not because I enjoy video games or D&D. I literally have no heartbeat thanks to the night I met Sally. She was too good to be true, a woman to die for. So I did, bleeding out with my throat torn open. Problem is, I didn't stay dead. Now I'm a vampire, surrounded by other vamps who are stronger and faster – not to mention better looking. It's enough to give a guy a complex. Worse, their leader, a douche called Night Razor, can't stand me.

It’s not easy making the career jump from office-supplies-store middle manager to heroic interdimensional adventurer. At least, Jason tries to be heroic, but it's hard to be good when all your powers are evil. He’ll face off against cannibals, cultists, wizards, monsters...and that’s just on the first day. He’s going to need courage, he’s going to need wit, and he’s going to need some magic powers of his own. But first, he’s going to need pants.

Great story and very well read
Revisado: 12-14-23
This was an excellent story. It was funny it was serious, It has action, happines, sadness. The world building was outstanding. I really love the main character and the supplementary characters were so flashed out that you could really envision these people. I’m already moving on to the second book.

Historia
The power of the elements can be complicated to master. Most reach it through the element bonds, ways of connecting to and shaping power that allowed the nation of Terndahl to thrive for centuries. Few can reach power of their own, an ancient way of holding magic the elemental warriors of old possessed.

Great series, but too much repetition
Revisado: 10-01-23
I do really like these series of books including The first series, Elemental Academy, but the author has the main character repeat certain phrases, such as the one referring to “imagination” and other comments too many times. You could use the repetitions in that drinking game where everyone drinks every time a certain word or phrases are said.

Historia
Once, dragons ruled the Rain Wilds, tended by privileged human servants known as Elderlings. But a series of cataclysmic eruptions nearly drove these magnificent creatures to extinction. Born weak and deformed, the last of their kind had one hope for survival: to return to their ancient city of Kelsingra. Accompanied by a disparate crew of untested young keepers, the dragons embarked on a harsh journey into the unknown along the toxic Rain Wild River.

This 2nd book was great and the narrator improved
Revisado: 05-24-23
I was very glad that the narrator improved her reading of the story from how she narrated the first book. I was also less frustrated with some of the characters who were written as so stupid in certain cases in the first book, but showed more common sense in this one. I’m looking forward to listening to the third book. Finally, I’m glad to finally have the backstory that was alluded to in the Farseer books.

Narrator was hard to listen to
Revisado: 05-18-23
The book was very interesting even though the narrator bothered me. I don’t want to make her feel bad, but if she reads more naturally, her future performances will probably be fine. Some of the characters did stupid and frustrating things I had a hard time believing anyone would do. Especially the Vestrit grandmother and mother. If they were so concerned with Malta’s behavior, why not sit her down at the first sign of her stupid willfulness and fully explained the dire consequences of her actions? By not doing so, she made uninformed bad decisions that affected all of them. That part annoyed me as much as the narration. Regardless, I will finish listening to the next two books in the trilogy.

Great ending to the series. Better than ending of Art of the Adept
Revisado: 05-06-23
This fifth book in the series ended it very well. Of course, there is one characters that said, I had hoped, would be reversed by the end in some magical way, but despite that it was a much better ending in the fifth book of The Art of the Adept series which left me thoroughly unsatisfied. I wish this author will add a sixth book in that series.

Terrible ending to a great series. NB: Warning; possible spoilers
Revisado: 04-30-23
I loved this series until this book. Even though. I liked most of the book, I began to feel some disappointment at the very beginning with the treatment of Will’s former roommate Seth, who didn’t even appear in the third book, and made a very cursory appearance at the end of book 4. It seemed as if he was just used as a throwaway character because the author had forgotten about him. Also, there was no good conclusion with his friends or professors. Plus, Will’s hypocrisy towards Celine given all the horrible things he did as she so rightly pointed out. Her love for him never wavered, and it seems implausible that he would react the way he did after professing such a profound love throughout the series. Also, what good is advice offered by “gods” and “goddesses” after death if the advice can’t be remembered clearly after returning to life. What happened to his friend Rob? He was never mentioned again after a certain point. And Will’s father? Anyway, the only thing that would make this better would be a sixth book to reorganize, clean up,
and end the series better.
