The roller coaster this book took me on. So hooked at the beginning. It built up steam and fizzled out. I could barely make myself listen to the end but I muddled through. 15 minutes left and I'm thinking this can't get worse. The they played shot for a secret again and I was thinking the only thing that could make this more disappointing is if she were pregnant. Then the misogynistic comment about not being able to handle a girl. I love romance and good cheesy story, but this was just great and then it wasn't. It was going in an interesting direction and then it went in the direction of a bad hallmark movie.

listen to this book, even if you have hang ups. the emotional connections and stories of each character are so rich. this is an amazingly well written story. I had never read anything in this particular romance sub-genre before and was curious as to how the story would go. I love it! I really don't want to recap the book because you need to listen for yourself:). the narration is on point as well. if you like great stories with lots of passion, this one is for you. it is book one in a 3 book series about the same people so be for-warned about that. but I am eagerly diving into book 2 now.

this book was so good. very well written, excellent story. I love cliffhangers and this one was a banger! this is not a happy go lucky love story so if your in for an easy read this is not for you. but man oh man. everything I have read by this author bows my mind and this is no exception!

great ending to the trilogy

lots of twists and turns but finally our guys end up together. this was the perfect way to end this trilogy. I would love to read more about these characters. looking forward to some spin off books maybe???

I loved this book just as much as the first. The way their relationship builds and changes through all of the conflicts they face....on point. the narration amazing.

unique and addictive read

I was given an audiobook code and offered an honest review in return. Man am I ever glad I came across this opportunity. I have read mc books in the past and and mm books but this was my first mm mc book. first I have to say the audio editing problems mentioned in previous reviews were not present in my listening so this must have been fixed. The narration was really great. The narrator's voice was perfect for the characters. He did an amazing job at changing his voice to delineate different characters.
The story is so sweet. It is a friends to lovers romance. Ward and Slim have been friends forever. I love their friendship and the way it changes and grows.I love when the main characters are crushing on eachother for a while and neither knows it. The longing looks and quick glances, the inner dialog is so good. The book is full of suspense and is primarily about the mc and the daily going on there. Two things to be aware of 1. this ends in a cliffhanger 2. this is part of a trilogy.
I highly recommend this book. I throughly enjoyed the beginning of this trilogy.

sweet love story

great book. just the right amount of drama to make it interesting. very sweet love story. I love when a book is 1st person but there are secrets kept from the reader
makes it more interesting
super fun read. great listen narrators had a lot of inflection and emotion in their voices.

sweet contemporary MMA romance

I really enjoyed this one. There is a rich story here full of interesting characters. The business side of MMA is very involved, I love when books delve into the subjects there characters are interested in deeper. the secondary characters can be a little challenging to keep up with. However this is the only book I have read by this author and I have a feeling if I read some of their other books I would feel a little more connected to the secondary characters. There is so much to love in this book. It has an aspect of forbidden romance (not taboo but forbidden), great sibling banter, wonderful friends and secondary characters and lots of steamy times. I would recommend this book especially if you are looking for something with high heat and low angst. looking forward to the rest of the series. the audio production was very well done as well.

so slow

really confusing, slow moving, almost dnf but pushed through. I was a little mad about pushing through at the end. the end leaves a lot to be desired.
