My admiration for women

I have been surrounded by great women including a mother a wife daughters etc. the story of Odette only enhanced my view of the greatness of women. Civilization is held together by women. I was deeply moved by the story of this gallant woman.

Every person in public private and college level schools should read this book!

Thomas Sowell has written a very thought-provoking book with an unbelievable amount of research. No one can doubt that this is a gifted man. He also is obviously very honest in formulating his views. He has no ax to grind other than what is actually the truth. We would have a much better country if everyone, on all sides of the problems we have in this country about race, read this book. Thank you so much, Thomas Sowell, for your life and writings.

I hated history in high school

It was a pleasant surprise for me to fill-in the many gaps in my knowledge of history in a way that kept me listening and thinking. Thank you Susan Wise Bauer and Julian Eifer, you both gave me a very enjoyable experience. This experience was the same as when I listened to other volumes you collaborated on.

Entertaining and thought-provoking

This audio book was very enjoyable for me to listen to. I learned things that I didn’t know before and thought about things from a little different perspective. If one considers “revelation from God” any communication from God to us mere mortals; then I can without hesitation say that I, by revelation from God, know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. His is revelations shed so much light upon the gospel of Jesus Christ. One mistake that has made over and over by people who denounce Joseph Smith, is that a prophet must be perfect. No one has ever even come close to living a perfect life, including Moses and Peter and every other person, other than Jesus Christ.
