Historia
In 10 Principles for Doing Effective Couples Therapy, two of the world's leading couple researchers and therapists give listeners an inside tour of what goes on inside the consulting rooms of their practice. They have been doing couples work for decades and still find it challenging and full of learning experiences. This book distills the knowledge they've gained over their years of practice into 10 principles at the core of good couples work. Each principle is illustrated with a clinically compiled case plus personal side-notes and storytelling.

Easy listen. Not too clinical. Humble and helpful to better understand Gottman integration into couples work.

Inside glance into Jinger’s faith

Pretty good account of her own journey towards the modern Christian (Jesus/ bible follower) instead of group think and being heavily influenced by a creepy guy. A bit contradictory for me but maybe that’s my own problem with the “you’re good enough, never mind you’re worth nothing without Jesus” belief that goes along with Christianity. Easy listen.

Narrator was clunky. Just didn’t flow well. Decent story. Worth a listen or read to supplement.

Historia
Our brains do their best to help us out, but every so often they can be real assholes - having meltdowns, getting addicted to things, or shutting down completely at the worst possible moments. Your brain knows it's not good to do these things, but it can't help it sometimes - especially if it's obsessing about trauma it can't overcome. That's where this life-changing book comes in. With humor, patience, science, and lots of good-ole swearing, Dr. Faith explains what's going on in your skull, and talks you through the process of retraining your brain to respond appropriately....

Very similar to Waking The Tiger. Redundancy in stories. Overall good flow. Would recommend if new to SE
