Historia
1228 A.D. - After a vicious battle with old adversaries that sees his father killed, Sir Dennis d’Vant finds himself the head of the House of d’Vant. A house descended from the kings of Cornwall, they are a proud but warring people. Their most hated enemy is their neighbor to the north, the rich and cunning Earl of Cornwall. Dennis, however, is not like his forefathers; a giant of a man and a skilled warrior, he is also quiet and gentle. He does not possess the same fiery instincts of his family and for that, he is often looked upon as weak.

I have listened to this book several times. It is a fairly good story, what I mean is it does have lagging portions. I sincerely didn’t like the orator. This man ‘s voice is just irritating.

This is one of Kathryn’s best. As I listen, I found myself laughing at the most unexpected moments. These characters are so real, I wish I could meet them. Kathryn has such a tremendous talent. I’ve read other writers, but few are as good as her. The creative juices just flow from her. Thank you Kathryn.

Kathryn has done it again! She is my favorite author. The story lines to her books always take a turn I don’t expect and they have a happily ever after. I have fallen in love with so many of her characters. Many times I laugh out loud and I like that. I’m always sad when a book ends but always excited to start a new one! Keep writing Kathryn, you have a faithful follower!

Historia
Diana Gabaldon's fans will be delighted to find Jamie and Claire as spirited and endearing as ever in this fourth installment of this magnificent saga. Twice Claire has used an ancient stone circle to travel back to the 18th century. The first time she found love with a Scottish warrior but had to return to the 1940s to save their unborn child. The second time she reunited with her lost love but had to leave behind the daughter that he would never see. Now Brianna, from her 1960s vantage point, has found a disturbing obituary and will risk everything in an attempt to change history.
