Good book if you like Steve Young and football
Revisado: 03-29-17
What three words best describe Steve Young and George Newbern ’s performance?
Steve should have read it all... George's emphasis on certain words or phrases seemed off at times and there were several mispronunciations--particularly of player's names.
Any additional comments?
I liked the book and the chronicling of Steve's football career, which was originally written for his kids. But I really enjoyed the Epilogue and Acknowledgement at the end of the reading. I think they let us see the true character of Steve Young--beyond his physical and mental toughness and commitment to his faith.

Historia
The Naked Communist has sold almost two million copies. It found its way into the libraries of the CIA, the FBI, the White House, and homes all across America and the world. The Naked Communist contains a distillation of more than a hundred books and treatises on communism, many written by Marxist authors. We see the communist the way he sees himself - stripped of propaganda and pretense. Explained here is the amazing appeal of communism, its history, and its basic and unchanging concepts.

Still relevant after almost 60 years!
Revisado: 03-15-17
What did you love best about The Naked Communist?
I enjoyed Clousen's walk through the origins of Communism starting with Marx up through the end of the Korean War, outlining their plans for world conquest. I appreciated that the text has been updated since its initial publishing in 1958 to stay current.
What was the most compelling aspect of this narrative?
The most compelling aspect of this narrative is that it's still alive and seemingly well.
Which scene was your favorite?
Chapter 13 (Section 19) - The 45 Communist Goals and status. The discussion of the five vital questions at the end of the book were also quite enlightening.
What’s the most interesting tidbit you’ve picked up from this book?
Communism is alive and well, it's just taken on other euphemistic names. Makes me wonder if liberal progressives in the U.S. really know what they stand for and what they are doing to our country.

Historia
Americans are rightly worried they are losing their country. How did five congressional committees miss the smoking gun on Benghazi? How did Hillary Clinton keep a secret email server quiet for years? Does the IRS audit you because of your politics? Did the first American target of Obama's drone program work for the US government? How did Congress commit fraud to get Obamacare taxpayer subsidies? In Clean House Tom Fitton answers these questions and provides shocking evidence of the corruption endemic to the Obama White House.

Why did someone like Trump win the election? Start here.
Revisado: 01-25-17
For those wondering how someone like Donald Trump just won the election, this is a good place to start to learn why. I think many people became sick of the previous administration's lax foreign policy, open borders, disregard for law, lack of transparency, and crony capitalism. This book touches on all of that. The vast majority of American people saw the swamp that is DC and felt the best option for president was a Washington outsider businessman who would take no guff and drain it. (Though I fully expect Judicial Watch to keep an eye on his administration too.)

Historia
Why we think it’s a great listen: Seabiscuit was a runaway success, and Hillenbrand’s done it again with another true-life account about beating unbelievable odds. On a May afternoon in 1943, an Army Air Forces bomber crashed into the Pacific Ocean and disappeared, leaving only a spray of debris and a slick of oil, gasoline, and blood. Then, on the ocean surface, a face appeared....

One of the best books I've ever "read".
Revisado: 01-10-17
Well researched and written by Hillenbrand, she helps you feel like you were witnessing the glory and atrocities portrayed in her book. A fine reading by Herrmann with good intonation and inflections.
