When you are continuing the series how would the IRS deal with slowly morphing into an authoritarian Golden Horde like regime over increasing chunks of the US.

Kids are naturally curious, but when it comes to school it seems like their minds are turned off. Why is it that they can remember the smallest details from their favorite television programs, yet miss the most obvious questions on their history test? Cognitive scientist Dan Willingham has focused his acclaimed research on the biological and cognitive basis of learning and has a deep understanding of the daily challenges faced by classroom teachers.

I think this book is well written and highlights some critical points that have not been commonly touched upon, to be recommended to friends.

Historia
Idris has neither aged nor slept since they remade his mind in the war. And one of humanity’s heroes now scrapes by on a freelance salvage vessel, to avoid the attention of greater powers. Eighty years ago, Earth was destroyed by an alien enemy. Many escaped, but millions more died. So mankind created enhanced humans such as Idris - who could communicate mind-to-mind with our aggressors. Then these ‘Architects’ simply disappeared, and Idris and his kind became obsolete.

It was exquisitely performed

I liked the characters, the contemplative style of writing and how the plot tied in nicely towards the end.

Many books believe they know how you should live. But each book disagrees with the next. In How to Live, each chapter believes it knows how you should live. And each chapter disagrees with the next.

Tonic for a polarised world, where nuance is out of fashion

Read this. Read this. Read this.
Honestly just read the book - brilliantly executed . Thought provoking without being condescending.

Historia
This is my story, from a crumbling apartment in Central Falls, Rhode Island, to the stage in New York City, and beyond. This is the path I took to finding my purpose and my strength, but also to finding my voice in a world that didn't always see me. As I wrote Finding Me, my eyes were open to the truth of how our stories are often not given close examination. They are bogarted, reinvented to fit into a crazy, competitive, judgmental world. So I wrote this for anyone who is searching for a way to understand and overcome a complicated past, let go of shame and find acceptance.

Raw, transformative.
Revisado: 08-11-22
It’s rare to read an autobiography like this.
Viola holds nothing back. Her history, her pain, her transformation, the reality of an actors life. The challenges of loving imperfect people in an imperfect world.
Through her story you start to see your own story in a whole new way.
And that voice. That voice.
This is one of the best audiobooks I’ve ever listened to. I did not want it to end.
