Charming and unexpected the story captures the imaginative and takes the listener on unexpected journeys. At this time in our history, it is nice to heAr a story of courage, honesty, love and values. It was a nice break from the craziness of our world. Absolutely charming!

What a Downer

I finished the book, but I am not sure why. My view of Letterman is much different that the authors. Letterman is Letterman and this did not come across in this book. Someone has to write a better book about the last giant of late night.

Bob and Sue Missed Out

Matt and Karen are the perfect, normal couple. Visiting all of the national parks with them was entertaining. I was sad the book ended, but excited to hear that there will be more. As a Bonus the narration was wonderful. I could listen to Susan Ericksen read the phone book and David Colacci also did a wonderful job. Listen and enjoy the trips!

Reliving 1968 Is An Emotional Experience

When I was living in the middle of historical and dangerous times, I just got through it day to day. My classmates were heading to Veitnam even though they did not want to go. Some came back in body bags. The ones who came back alive did not escape the war unchanged. At any time, the war could have been stopped, but powerful men with big egos would not stop a war that we should never have fought. This book brings back the memories of that war and that time. 1968 was a dark time. It was an emotional experience to relive that year, but I am glad I did. I have a better understanding of those events at the age of sixty nine than I did at the age of nineteen. Lawrence O'Donnell has produced a masterful work and his narration is just what the book needed. There were times that I did not want to keep listening, but I could not stop, and that tells the story of 1968.

A True Tale of Terror

Wow! This is a story that I wish was fiction, but it is too true. As a recently retired high school teacher, I can look back at the evaluation of drug use in my school and with my students. It follows this book like a map. It is a sad and scary story. I hope people are paying attention.

Riveting story. This book reads like an unbelievable novel. I could not stop listening. I wanted to get to the end, but I did not want to finish the book. It could have been called: Watch Out Old Men or What Will Elizabeth Get Away With Next?
