Hudson and Bella (Isabella 'Izzy") are the couple featured in this installment of The Costa Family interconnected series by Brittney Sahin. Flirting with her older over protective brother's best friend, Bella knows she is playing with fire. When an op goes wrong and they are almost killed, they are put in more danger from their pasts than their present. Trouble and mysteries that tie all the way back to her sister Bianca's murder are thrown at them from all sides, as they fight the unknown enemies and the sizzling attraction they have for each other.
This book has twists and turns, suspense, edge-of-your-seat tension, and a hero with dirty talking Texas drawl. I love the way Sahin give life to the story with characters that are realistic in their past pain, passion for each other, and pro- found family. Tying together the threads woven and tugged through the story, she takes the written word into a powerful storytelling experience.
The audio book brings the story to life like a movie in your head. Hudson Ashford and that sexy as hell drawl is brought to life the amazing voice of narrator Connor Crais. (His sexy drawl when he says "Darlin'" that makes this listener melt-in-a-puddle- swoon! ) He does all the male characters, except Roman Rivera and FBI Agent Clarke. The latter are performed perfectly by Joseph Cannata- a Sahin fan favorite (IYKYK). Bella is brought to life with all the emotions felt though the earbuds by Ava Lucas. not only a 5 star read but a 5 Star audiobook too.

Riley's stories are packed with all the right things. Its a 4 star cause the 1stPOV and 3rd person POV alternate and it through me off.

I bought this as I by a lot of audible books simply because of t lhe narrator. I have my fave authors and narrators, but often will listen just because of the narrator as is the case with Rory. Shane East is perfection, eh.. his voice is perfection. the only thing that annoyed me was Emery's nickname for Rory, but that is a personal tic no reflection on the book,author and narrator.
