This book should be listed as a mystery book, as that is the general feel of it. and I found the overall tone to be boring and genuinely hard to want to come back to. was constantly pausing and watching videos or doing something else.

The MC is illogical

DNF - Idiot MC protected by an OP starting skill, makes mind numbing decisions and ohhh shiny skill picks. absolutely frustrating to listen to. Seems adverse to getting stronger and is more worried about his looks than having the power to protect those kids that need it.

A book like this should be about the story, with some build up for one or two spice scenes. this one it felt like every other chapter was one and it loses its effect and appeal. there is no build up, nor a "finally" moment, rather it's jeez they are doing it again? seriously?

Just drivel and psychobabble

Of the bad books I have had the displeasure of listening to, this one ranks high on that list. Terrible writing, mentally inconsistent and incapable characters. The MC is an abusive victim who apparently wants to continue being one. Also what kind of therapist puts an abusive victim into a room with another volatile abuse victim, who sees the first victim as a potential abuser, then just walks away like it's a totally normal practice? What kind of physical abuse victim can just pick up a weapon and fight like nothing is going on? If you going to trauma dump in a book at least be consistent with it. Truly a disgusting "safe" book that will please only those who see being a victim as a badge of honor and not something to be worked through and eventually discarded.

lost the feel of the first one.

The first one had that doom gore fest feel, this one was less smash and more talking about it first. there were some good fights but the gratification of the MC just shredding demons left and right is gone. maybe it's at the end but I stopped because I got bored.

the first book is ok but after that it's the MC being constantly questioned and confused with the second part of himself which is somehow also on earth. seriously inconsistent and just constantly drones on.

First book was good, went downhill from there.

First book was story focused with a little bit of sauce on the side. book Two added a bit too much sauce but still told some good story. Book three is almost all sauce or hinting at sauce with very little story progress. I didn't even finish the final book because I got sick of hearing the female VA moans like every 5 mins. there is such a thing as too much.

Psychotic girl, clueless guy.

As a man who has encountered actual crazy girls, this is not an entertaining love story but instead should be categorized as horror. The girl is terrifying and is in no way "cute".
