Historia
Vernestra Rwoh is a new Jedi Knight at age 16, but her first real assignment feels an awful lot like babysitting. She's been charged with supervising 12-year old aspiring inventor Avon Starros on a cruiser headed to the dedication of a wondrous new space station called Starlight Beacon. But soon into their journey, bombs go off aboard the cruiser. While the adult Jedi try to save the ship, Vernestra, Avon, Avon's droid, J-6, a Jedi Padawan, and an ambassador's son make it to an escape shuttle, but communications are out and supplies are low.

The story was well constructed.
Revisado: 03-24-24
Good story, it is written for middle age children but it is quite entertaining. I would recommend it.

Jasmine thought that she had earned her happily ever after when she and Aladdin defeated Jafar. Then her beloved father dies and, overnight, all her plans for the future change. Instead of her wedding, she's now planning a funeral and a coronation—her coronation, to become the first woman to rule Agrabah. But before the sultan's crown is placed on her head, her claim to the throne is called into question.

Adds Great Depth to Jasmine’s Character
Revisado: 01-15-24
Overall the book was wonderful. There was a great deal of mystery to what was going on and everything that was set up in the early chapters was concluded in an exciting and clever way. It took me a bit to get into the book but I am glad I stuck with it. The second half was amazing!

Historia
The tales of The Silmarillion are set in an age when Morgoth, the first Dark Lord, dwelt in Middle-earth, and the High Elves made war upon him for the recovery of the Silmarils, the jewels containing the pure light of Valinor. Included on the recording are several shorter works. The Ainulindalë is a myth of the Creation and in the Valaquenta the nature and powers of each of the gods is described. The Akallabêth recounts the downfall of the great island kingdom of Númenor at the end of the Second Age, and Of the Rings of Power tells of the great events at the end of the Third Age.

Read in small doses, excellent story too many names
Revisado: 12-24-23
The story was excellent, but there are too many names and too many characters. Good background for the Lord of the Rings.

Excellent Treatment of a Neglected Topic
Revisado: 01-08-17
This is an excellent study of the lives of Union Army veterans from the end of the Civil War until the last veteran passed in 1956. I teach U.S. History on the high school level so I know a great deal about the Civil War. However, there was much in this book that I had not seen anywhere else and much that made events or places I had heard about (Andersonville is a good example of this) much more meaningful. Anyone interested in the effects of the Civil War, on the history of the United States, should read this book. Anyone interested in understanding the veterans of any war (including the current War on Terror) will benefit from the massive research and insights offered in this work.
