The narrator's voice completely turned me off. Two chapters in, I had to find another book to listen to.

Narration makes the story come to life. In this case, the voice was a distraction that I couldn't get past. I'll never know how the story turned out and I'll never again listen to anything narrated by this person.

Oh, the irony of it all! I thoroughly enjoyed this story and think it should be read by every middle / high schooler with intense discussions to follow. I alternated between disbelief (wait...what did he/she just say?) and literally laughing out loud at the naivety of the main character!
Thanks Audible and Bernice McFadden for presenting this story...loved it! The only change I'd make is for it to be longer (hoping for a full novel).
