End of the Series

I love reading Christian fiction and series which have great characters. I really struggled with Jess and Pete and they’re on and off relationship for this whole series. I was so sick of them by the middle of this book that I ended up having to skip forward and just listen to the last chapter. Their drama read too much like a soap opera for me. Glad to have closure on all the open ends in the series.

I love reading about the OMally family. The biggest problem is when there are male narrators doing women voices. I really wish they could hire two narrators and have a male and a female voice. That part takes away from the story a lot for me.

Christian Fiction Adventure

I’m always looking for Christian based adventure fiction. I love, strong women characters, but these two women characters did not resonate with me at all. Too much dysfunction, unrealistic adventures, and past trauma to make it believable. I kept going because I wanted to finish the series and find out what happened to the characters. I think it might be easier to read, but to listen to I had to speed it up to finish.

Adventurous Characters

I love realistic fiction and strong women characters. However, this one was very hard for me because I felt the woman made choices and decisions to risk their lives. They each had so much background pain in their lives and the details of their mountain climbing adventures were almost unbelievable. Too many things happening in one book made it feel a little unrealistic to me. I do love the Christian characters who are encouragement to other others.

Christians who have experienced major trauma & stay strong

The main character is an amazing woman who manages to survive even in the worst circumstances. She is an inspiration!
Reader alert: If you have had a child die, gone through a nasty divorce or experienced abandonment as a child this book may not be for you. Heavy content & may trigger painful memories.

Christian Values & Adventure

I love the main characters & their development. This story had to many other characters & I couldn’t keep track of them all & found it frustrating trying to figure out who the killer was. If you’re listening to the story I recommend making a list of all the characters & who they are so you can refer back to the notes when the character appears again. Thankful for clean, Christian fiction to listen to.

Family Ties

Strong family built out of extremely difficult situations. This is a story filled with sorrow & pain & the reader needs to be in the right mind set to listen. Lots of characters so I recommend writing them all down as they are introduced. The kids are important also so don’t forget to include who they are & ages.

Too Creepy For My Taste

I love books with strong, brave women, but this story was a little too unbelievable. When you have someone who’s trying to kill you, you would protect yourself and not do some of the crazy things she did. Also lots of creepy details of the killers life and I didn’t appreciate the visuals. I like this author but this story is not a favorite .
