Amazing story and performance! I was sad to finish this one. You don't have to be a fan of Norse Mythology to enjoy this one, but it tells the story of the witch so well that you feel you know her.

Great story

I loved this story! I felt like I was 10 years old and hearing The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe for the first time. It was so special that the author also narrarated it because I knew that the characters sounded exactly like he intended. My only complaint was that is was over too soon!

I love Dean Koontz and have never quit a few chapters in but, as with many of the other reviews, I could not listen to the young girl narrating every other chapter. She read every sentence with the same inflection and did not understand the art of narration. She pronounced "didn't" as "dinnint" which after a few chapters became so annoying. I found myself skipping the chapters she narrated. Finally I just returned the book and will read a hard copy. The Sample should really include her narration so that people can be fairly warned

I really wanted to like this novel.. but..

Slightly disappointed

It's unfortunate to see that King suffers from Trump Derangement Syndrome. His repeated insults hurled at Trump did nothing for the story or character development. It felt like he had to work hard to fit those in the story. Really pathetic.
The narrarator was a bit hard to listen to at times. His terrible southern accents and lack of emotion were not up to par with what you would expect from a novel by King.
Despite all of that it was still a good story.

What a fun book!

This is a laugh out loud book! Narrator is wonderful too, although sometimes has a strong accent and can be hard to understand. Don't let that stop you from getting this book. It helped me understand my 80 year old mother much better!

This is one of the best books I've ever listened to. The story is amazing and totally captivating. The narrarator does a great job with all of the different voices too! You'll be missing out if you don't get this one!
