Historia
The four Jacobson children were raised to respect the value of a dollar. Their mother reused tea bags and refused to pay retail; their father taught them to budget before he taught them to ride a bike. And yet, now that they’re adults, their financial lives are in disarray. The siblings reunite when their newly widowed father puts their Jersey Shore beach house on the market. Packing up childhood memories isn’t easy, especially when there’s other drama brewing.

The Sequel I Didn’t Know I NEEDED!!!
Revisado: 03-16-24
I ADORED the first Coyote book and fell in love with her found family. I was content when the first rollercoaster of a book ended. Then this book came out and I couldn’t wait to get back in the world of Yager, Rodeo, Ivan and Coyote! I laughed, gasped and cried. Another heartwarming ride with a newish found family 💜

Historia
In the aftermath of the 2020 presidential election, Donald Trump and many around him, including certain other elected Republican officials, intentionally breached their oath to the Constitution: they ignored the rulings of dozens of courts, plotted to overturn a lawful election, and provoked a violent attack on our Capitol.

Must Read for Every American
Revisado: 12-13-23
This book is for every American, no matter your political party, religious beliefs, race or gender. This book is about the fragility of our American Democracy and the heroes (many registered Republicans) who stood up to save it on January 6th and after that dreadful day during the January 6th hearings. Liz Cheney and I do not align often when it comes to politics but since January 6th, I have come to admire and respect her willingness to seek the truth of what caused that horrific insurrection. She is an inspiration to all Americans and has put our country and our democracy first, ahead of her political career. This is very rare in today’s world and I applaud her and thank her for all she has done and continues to do to fight for our country!!

Historia
Chemist Elizabeth Zott is not your average woman. In fact, Elizabeth Zott would be the first to point out that there is no such thing as an average woman. But it’s the early 1960s and her all-male team at Hastings Research Institute takes a very unscientific view of equality. Except for one: Calvin Evans; the lonely, brilliant, Nobel–prize nominated grudge-holder who falls in love with—of all things—her mind. True chemistry results.

Wow is right!!
Revisado: 04-28-22
This is one of the BEST books I’ve read in 2022. I can not believe this is the debut novel for Bonnie Garmus, it is perfection! This book made me laugh out loud, cry tears of both joy and sadness, gasp in horror and cheer on the INCREDIBLE protagonist, Elizabeth Zott. It took me a little bit to get invested but after 50 pages I could not put it down! I became so deeply intrenched in the pages, it’s powerful message and fell in love with the many quirky characters. This will be a reread for me as I need more time with these lovable characters. Thank you Bonnie Garmus for writing such a treasure!

A Wonderful Inside Look at the White House
Revisado: 03-27-19
I LOVED this book. Mr West did a wonderful job at giving us a tasteful and caring behind the scenes look at the families he served in the White House. From FDR to Nixon, you get up close and personal with the day to day operations of the house and the changes made by each administration. I devoured this book and thought the performance was excellent.
