Spooner and Kaufman do it again!
Revisado: 09-25-20
Part of me wants to pull an Owen Wilson and simply say "wow." After all, that single word encapsulates how I feel now after just finishing this audiobook. It was incredible! Between the rich descriptions of the world, the depth of the characters, and a plot that was both complicated and easy to follow, this book has everything you could ever hope for in a story. I can't wait for the sequel!

Perfect for the YA in your life
Revisado: 07-17-18
As a fan of YA, I've come to realize that some YA books are meant for adults and teens while others are for just teens. This one falls into the later category. I don't want that to sound as a knock on the book because it is an enjoyable story which I could see my younger cousins loving. If you're looking for a gift for a teenage bookworm, then you're on the right page.

Bible's best story yet!
Revisado: 07-17-18
Although I've enjoyed some of Bible's books in the past, this one definitely takes the cake. The Flipside was the kind of book that you never want to end. The premise was interesting, the characters were fun, and there was enough action to keep me on the edge of my seat almost the entire time. I really hope this is the start of a new series for him because I'm not ready to go back topside just yet!

Revisado: 07-17-18
I wasn't sure how this book was going to be because I've had bad experiences with books translated into English in the past, but this one left me pleasantly surprised. Solid story, great characters, and a boat load of memorable quotes. It was definitely worth the money.

Great, but start with book 1
Revisado: 06-08-18
Jeremy Robinson and Sean Ellis crafted an amazing story which managed to blend together the action/adventure, sci-fy, and urban fantasy genres in the best way possible! Because I hadn't listened to the first book in this series I was a littled confused in the beginning, but everything clicked together for me by the 1/4 mark. This book can be listened to without getting the first, but I think I would've enjoyed even more if I had previously listened to the first book.

Revisado: 06-08-18
This was the first James Rollin's novel that I've ever listened to, and I came away from it very impressed. The story is gripping, the character development was done phenomenally well, and it held my attention from the first second all the way to the last. Great story, and I can't recommend it highly enough!

Jade for the win!
Revisado: 06-08-18
If you're looking for a new adventure series, then you don't need to look any further than the audiobook currently on your screen. Jade Ihara is essentially the new and improved Indiana Jones. Without the fear of snakes holding her back and a plethora of skills at her deposal, she manages to tackle every challenge thrown her way (and the authors threw a ton of them at her). Overall, this audiobook was incredibly exciting and I'm looking forward to listening to the next book in the series when it comes out!

I can't decide if this is the best audiobook I've listened to this year or second best. It's been a few weeks since I listened to the audio and I'm still shook. Vivid characters, fascinating technology, and a fast paced plot which will keep you on the verge of s***ing yourself. Do yourself a favor and buy this book.

[Insert Catchy Headline Here]
Revisado: 04-23-18
Wow! It's been awhile since I've dappled in YA Fantasy, but I'm definitely glad I gave this book a listen. The characters do a good job of breaking the mold while maintaining some of the genre's tropes, the world is vivid but not described in painstaking detail, and the plot kept the story going at a good pace and left enough threads open to progress the series along. There were a few moments which were pretty predictable, but that is common in YA Fantasy. Overall, this was a fantastic story and I would highly recommend it!

Took two listens, but worth it
Revisado: 04-17-18
To put it simply, Jake Bible is an incredibly talented entertainer. He could probably find away to make watching paint dry seem like the most invigorating event in the galaxy. The guy knows how to write a thriller, and this book is further proof of that. The only downside of this book is deciphering who is who and which species is which especially if you're walking in a loud section of the city (my fault, not the authors). I had to listen to it a second time to piece everything together as a result.
