Historia
Peacetime can be a rough adjustment for the battle-hardened Merry Band of Pirates.
Especially when aliens don’t get the memo that the shooting is over.

Another fun adventure with Skippy and Joe. Glad to learn he mastered the Captain Kirk contemplative look. Great narration!

Historia
In the summer of 2022, Lee Berger lost 50 pounds in order to wriggle though impossibly small openings in the Rising Star cave complex in South Africa—spaces where his team has been unearthing the remains of Homo naledi, a proto-human likely to have coexisted with Homo sapiens some 250,000 years ago. Lead researcher Berger had never made his way into the dark, cramped, dangerous underground spaces where many of the naledi fossils had been found. Now he was ready to do so. Once inside the cave, Berger made shocking new discoveries that expand our understanding of this early hominid.

What a (hi)story!

A very compelling account of an ancient species. I look forward to the rest of the narrative. Highly recommend for anyone who loves all fossil things.

Historia
In 1971, Go Ask Alice reinvented the young adult genre with a blistering portrayal of sex, psychosis, and teenage self-destruction. The supposed diary of a middle-class addict, Go Ask Alice terrified adults and cemented LSD's fearsome reputation, fueling support for the War on Drugs. Five million copies later, Go Ask Alice remains a divisive bestseller, outraging censors and earning new fans, all of them drawn by the book's mythic premise: A Real Diary, by Anonymous.

Fascinating Read!
Revisado: 03-26-23
Great research. I grew up a few miles from Pleasant Grove and have heard the cautionary tales of Jay and Alice retold many times. In addition to a history of LSD, this book offers an authentic voice to "Jay" and his stuggle with depression that was stolen from him and his family. The author accurately portrays the community and mindset of the time, and...the narrator is one of my favorites.
