thoroughly enjoyed the tale of a struggling special ops veteran ( British version SAS) struggling to move on in a ragged world. he stumbles onto a body in the mood, dutifully reports it and starts taking flak. he pushes back and sheninigans ensue where his special set of skills are exhibited ( to steal a phrase from Taken).

beck has inner challenges and strives to overcome them. given this is an audio with three books, you will hear reprise of them multiple times. still small price. I got big hint of the self angst marvel heroes had in 70s and 80s.
the narrator has a voice tuned to the character. when I first heard it, I was mmh perfect fit
enjoyed series and the road still beckons

the development of friendship between Anderson and pert was great example of how appreciation and serendipity can lead to shared lives
drumbeats also reflects that. a shared collaboration which tells of one mans journey looking for new influences only to find both the experience and a new friend, though with horror twist. since it is a horror tale

greatly enjoying the series. as the author proceeds through the great and little confrontations of world war ii, he uses British ships of the lines as linkages back to that time when the British navy was all that stood between a Nazi invasion and the British homeland
I also enjoy the use of the tone and accents of the British war films and trailers. great touch

excellent listen cyborg sheriff turned into heroic vigilante fighting against the Tong then a shadowy supervillain
throughout the story, I kept getting flashbacks of wild wild West, a 70s show set in 1870s where proto secret service agents roam about West breaking up crimes and conspiracy.
great fun, bit over the top yet laconic protagonist. look forward to next audio release

easy listen as our intrepid hero rolls the dice and literally spins for random companion as he heads off to a new life in far off Europa.
Ben encounters a series of events in which he invariably either chooses wrong or he is overcome by events, but he is rescued consistently by those who he has treated kindly. often unexpectedly

protagonists are mismatched cool girl and high school nerd that lived in shadow of his alpha super athlete brother. love blooms along with sitcom mishaps.
escaping the apocalypse comes to dominate the story. will it disrupt the. moderately HEA ending? read on and find out
