I loved this book from start to finish. I just couldn't get enough. An amazing blend of human tragedy, strength of spirit and the constant need for answers, where sometimes there aren't any.
Brilliant narration and superb intertwined stories of regular people, just going about their lives. A must read!

A beautiful story about love, loss, grief, healing and happiness.
Graham Norton, at his best. Excellent narration, brilliant script, sublime entertainment. I HAVE TO listen to it again, just to enjoy every second of this wonderful story, once more!

Gripping stuff with a ton of lust!

The narration was sublime. The voice of the Butcher is sultry, sexy, smooth and so easy on the ear.
I loved the blend of comedy, romance, intrigue and dare I say, soft porn.
A great surprise as I went in totally blind without knowing anything about the story line. I decided to pick a book without reading the contents section or the comments. And I'm so glad I did.

A feast for the ears! BRILLIANT.

I savored this book and took in every minute like it was the last. I kept watching the minutes tick down and wished it could go on and on. One of the best books about family, love, devotion and forgiveness I have ever had the pleasure of listening to. If you only pick one book this year, let it be this one! And as an added gem, the voice of Tom Hanks. My listening became a near obsession. WOW!

Such an unexpected pleasure!

This series is way out of my usual genre, in every way. But I LOVED IT! I'm a middle aged educator and not fond of science fiction, futuristic or fantasy, yet I was totally captivated. The characters take some time to get used to and the intricate details. However, once you're familiar with who's who, it's brilliantly narrated and enthralling! I could not stop listening. Give it a chance, even if you think it's not your type of story. I assure you, you will not be disappointed.

A brilliantly written book that breaks your heart and heals it at the same time. I could not stop listening and found myself making time, even when I had none, to continue the listening pleasure. I loved every second of the story. So well written, so well read by the narrator. Worth every second! Loved it.
