Great ‘Dog’ story!

How he makes dogs into actual characters is pretty amazing! Enjoyed them all. Takes you away from the stressful reality that is now our world.

Not really sci-fi for about 20 hours….

Talk about navel gazing… so there are spaceships, worlds humans live on, but only cause they tell you this is so. This is the longest ‘introduction’ I’ve ever listened to. It literally takes til hour 21 of 25 to actually start interacting with the other sentient alien race we are supposedly at war with. The rest of the world building is mostly medieval - emperor, palatines, hop lights, armor, swords, etc… can’t tell you why I kept listening. At end they are now finally launching off to find and talk to (?) the aliens… could have done this book in 8 hours and even then it would have dragged along some. The main character is a winging aristocract who whines about lack of control over his super entitled life…repeatedly and annoyingly.
Great narrator though. Really. Attires this arrogant ass.

Great space opera! Just enough character development without getting all maudlin, just a taste of science, but not too much, and a compelling story. Good narration! Very enjoyable.

YA space opera on earth

Redemption story kinda. Young people must save the earth… from giant monsters ala Godzilla and his pals who have come from space to eat us all…. Yawn…

Excellent coming of age story

Even though many of the experiences of these gay characters went through and what I specifically went through are different the feelings these characters endured were very familiar. Well written characters and interesting story- how religion and sports can both be a refuge, belonging or a source of pain and disappointment.

Horrible narrator, ridiculous pathos of a woman who is just sooooo smart she gets to abandon her liver, child etc and still be loved and forgiven like nothing in the end cause she just sooo smart. Ugh

And not in a good way. And the narration, how long can one listen to a snot nosed attitude? This book answers that question. Very predictable, shallow characters. Weak plot… not a fan.
