Typical JA Huss - Incredibly twisted and shocking!

Julie’s books always demand my full attention and focus. I love a book that is totally unpredictable and leaves me thinking, could this be real? It took me a while to get back into this world but it didn’t take long to feel a part of it again. The narration is perfect. Julie knows who can best tell her stories in the way they are written. Once you acquaint yourself with The Company world, make sure you include this book in your collection. It’s totally a 5/5 in every way!

I fell in love with these characters!

What held my interest most about this book was the unpredictably of this story. It has a unique storyline that took several unexpected twists and turns that held me glued to the audiobook, gasping. The performances of Will and Stephanie brought these characters to life in a way that kept me wanting more of them, even as the story ended and they left me smiling with the joy they delivered the perfect HEA. This audiobook is highly deserving of 5/5 stars in all areas!

What a dynamite ending to the series!!

I have listened the first four books in this series multiple times so I was anxiously anticipating the last book. It was an odd thing that for some reason I kept putting off listening to it. I guess didn’t want the series to end although I knew it had to at some point and Brad’s story needed to be told. The genius story telling of JEM was on display at every turn. No one else can make me feel like I truly know a character like Jodi does! My heart opened up to Brad just like it did for Danny and James. The women in these stories are powerhouses, able to stand toe to toe with these uber alpha mafia men. Who has the power? You can be the judge for yourself. This series will be on a relisten rotation as are all my JEM books. Thank you, Jodi, for choosing the best of the best narrators! The performers in all of these audiobooks are what elevate the story to magnificence. A cast of true stars in their field.
The Brit, The Enigma and The American, unlawful men that are absolutely unforgettable!!

This definitely whet my appetite for more

I’m not usually drawn to small town romance but this one has enough twists to hold my interest. I know that Julie Huss has only begun to scratch the surface of this story. I already love the MCs and the side characters and parts of their stories have yet to be revealed. This book is the first in a series but it does not leave you with a cliffhanger, just an appetite for more. The narrators are incredible! I can believe every word that comes out of their mouths as their characters because their performances are just that good. The EOB (end of book shit) is a necessity! Julie certainly keeps me processing the story long after it ends.

Performance perfection!

As always with Brynne Weaver, the story is mesmerizing! The book is unputdownable because the uncertainty keeps you in its clutches. I can’t wait for the next book in the series! Samantha Brentmoor is brilliant in her performance. She is a go-to narrator for me. This is the first dark romance of hers that I’ve listened to and she definitely did not disappoint! Her versatility shines in this one. Eric Nolan is a new to me narrator and he had me convinced of his amazing talent from the first chapter he performed. I will certainly keep my eyes out for other books that he has narrated. Together Samantha and Eric are a dynamic team. I hope to see them perform other romance books in duet together in the future. Thank you for an absorbing listen Brynne, Samantha and Eric

Best combo of humor and spice!

I’m sorry that this is the end! I’ve be thoroughly entertained by this story. Now I want to live in a small coastal town in Maine. The story is well written, giving readers a great heroine who is full of strength and sass, and a hot billionaire hero who realizes that the things he values aren’t in his portfolio. The brother’s best friend trope wasn’t over played, for which I’m grateful. The spicy scenes were hot and well placed in the story. It’s the narrators that really brought the story to life. Connor and Samantha performed the roles of Clare and Grady to perfection. They brought out all sides of their characters in a way that made them feel real and believable. I look forward to their pairing in future books. 5+ fabulous stars for The Billionaire is Back!!

Uniquely different kind of a story

I was apprehensive to read this after reading other readers’ comments, even though they loved it. I found that I was fully committed right from the beginning thanks to the excellent performances by Joe and Lucy. The expert storytelling took me to places I’ve never been and yet I felt satisfied by the events in a strange way that I never would have expected. The universe had plans for Butcher and Blackbird and I commend Brynne Weaver for telling their story in such a distinctive way. Joe and Lucy deserve an audio award for embedding these characters in my heart. The memory of this epic tale will stay with me long into the new year!

Spicy and Mysterious

This book kept me completely captivated! I love when an author keeps the suspense alive by slowly releasing small parts of the underlying plot yet keeps me engaged with the details of a building relationship. The characters are well written with depth to their personalities. Aurora is very complex and she would often surprise me with her reactions. Her part is well played by Keira Stevens. This was my first opportunity to experience her narration and I will be watching for more books that she narrates. Shane East performed his roll as the VERY dominate Jonathan King perfectly. Aurora might not have been intimidated by that deep voice, but I definitely was. I highly recommend this book/series. The writing is superb and the performances are first rate! Moving with great anticipation to Rise of a Queen.

I just finished this with a huge smile on my face! Bravo, Louise Bay. Thank you for a story that made my heart happy. Excellent narration by Shane East and Andi Arndt! Their talented voices fit the characters perfectly. ❤️❤️

Best 24 hours I’ve ever spent listening to a book!

I thought I knew Jesse Ward after reading and listening to Jodi’s books many, many times for over ten years. Shane performing Jesse’s POV has introduced a whole new character that I’ve fallen even deeper in love with. Jodi has exposed even more layers of Jesse in this book and Shane has met every challenge she has written for him with such depth and emotional integrity that the line blurs between fiction and reality. You cannot listen to this book and not feel every minute of joy and pain that Jesse is experiencing. Thank you for an most incredible telling of this part of Jesse’s story, Jodi! And thank you for such an unforgettable, dynamic performance, Shane! I can’t wait for This Woman Forever.
