Epic Anime Meets Addams Family

So I couldn't stop seeing this in my mind's eye as an anime and feeling nostalgic with the backward humor of The Addams Family. oh this would be a cute movie/show. I would absolutely love to see it on screen.

Kinda want a series

You know, I kinda want a little Netflix series of these books. I think it would still be a unique outlook. Oklahoma is ALWAYS looking for movie industries that want to film here. Even Tulsa King was filmed here.

I read a previous review that there were similarities between this book and Dragon Heart series by Nora Roberts. There are 3 similarities, a best friend, a similar name, and magical destiny. Other than that, the story and the world building are unique. The emotions in these 3 books are mostly Melancholy in the first 2. last one is the emotion of Embracing the Suck. Dragon Heart series is Disney in comparison. I loved this story. It was real in how sad some human families can be, how the actions of parents can damage children's self confidence, but also how resilient and positive that same child can be. I felt the character's emotions and pain as well as their happiness. Thank you for allowing me to visit this world.

Never read Stephen King before

I was always a Dean Koontz fan. but the title and description of this book seemed up my alley. And it was. The world that King created with his written words was amazing, unique and still a piece of every fairytale we've been told. I loved it and wonder if a future story would be told of someone breaking back through. Thank you for sharing this world with us. World traveling has always been my hobby...

Tears of Joy

Twice tears welled up in this book. Mostly because I could feel Jason's pain and joy at seeing his friends and, eventually towards the end, knowing how much he means to them as well. of all the things that happen to him in all of the books thus far, he needed this in his story. How Shirtaloon brings this whole universe alive is absolutely delightful and I really really need book 8 now.

Well Thought Out and Deep

The more I get into this universe the deeper I fall into Astral and Magical theory. it's almost like the author himself has had experience with one or both. Like an Instructor trying to explain it, in the longest way possible, so it's easier to digest. the story just being the examples. If someone told me that it eventually goes in that direction, I would have decided against the whole series. But, because of the awesome humor mixed with action and real emotions, it's but an easy thing to learn so as to continue the worlds of which this universe holds. Bravo!

rough start

it was a rough start on reading performance. But he started the creation of the characters in his reading eventually and their developed personalities. I love Isekai adventures in Manga and Anime. A book that does the same, has extreme depth and layers, humor, and an actual story to tell would make such an awesome anime. one of the greats I'm sure. I would totally be Team Asano.

Roadtrip Story

Had this going during a Road Trip. Enjoyed the story and performance immensely. I've been reading Dean Koontz since 6th grade and still never tire from his wonderful imaginative world his mind resides in. My daughter, who is 19, doesnt read much. But. when this audio presentation was finished she said "well now I'm upset", because she wanted more and according to interview with Mr Koontz, this wont be a series. I agree with her sentiment. I always want more from the different universes that are Dean Koontz novels.
