Too far off
Revisado: 05-22-19
i was sadly disappointed with the story line. Too much teenage quirkiness and a slow start in the beginning with not enough of the original personalities of the main characters showing. I understand that the author was trying to show how they were now normally aging, but I think he tried too hard. I also wanted to skip through alot of the "American gangerster" and screaming spoiled child parts. It was too far off the original story line. however towards the end it made more sense. Hopefully the next book will tie it all together nicely. Kerby Heybourne's performance was stellar!

Never has faith in God been more important for the group of believers called the Tribulation Force, who now face danger on all sides. Valiantly, they continue to urge new followers to accept Christ's love.

Speed reader.
Revisado: 08-27-18
I've listened to many books on Audible and this is the 1st time I've had to slow a book down. Not only is this a different reader than previous books but he read it way too fast, using the same rhythmic ending to most sentences. I thoroughly enjoyed the story but not so much the performance. Some of the characters' voices were rediculous (gangster style) and Zion's name was pronounced wrong the entire time.

Slow to start but...
Revisado: 05-10-18
this one in the series was a little slow to start. I understand that the groundwork had to be laid for the opening of Agatha's new business. There were a lot of details that were missing that I wish we could have had. But true to form, the authors pulled it off with a lot of exciting and ridiculously crazy Adventures of Agatha!

Historia
Suffering from bald patches thanks to a hair conditioner spiked with depilatory cream - supplied by the murderess in her last investigation - Agatha escapes to the coastal resort of Wyckhadden to allow her crowning glory to recover in privacy. A local witch provides her with hair tonic and Agatha’s lost locks begin to grow - but then the witch is found bludgeoned to death. The elderly residents at Agatha’s faded hotel seem innocuous enough, if a little odd. But, as she enquires into the murder she turns up an alarming number of secrets....

This was another good story by Beaton but this particular story had way too many gaps in presentation.

Love the series but....
Revisado: 04-06-18
This has been a fun series up to this book. Way too much "historical tourist info". I would have appreciated the book more if the scenery had been described from the view of the characters instead of sounding like it was copied and pasted from a travel brochure so much. We'll see what the next book offers!

Great story lousy music at the beginning.
Revisado: 02-03-18
Love this book. Have read it multiple times and bought the audible also. At the beginning of the story the music is so overpowering that it's really distracting. Other than that it was great.
