Finally, someone said out loud how much they are drinking! I’m not alone. This book isn’t full of unobtainable wackiness. It’s real life advice. My whole mindset is changing b/c of this book. With alcohol for sure, but with just a lot of things in life! Get it. Worth a credit. Short and you can re-listen when you need to for a pick me up.

I want to live in this world forever
Revisado: 09-20-20
In this time of COVID, I needed an escape, but cringed at the thought of one more beach read about an old flame moving back home and having tons of amazing out of the world sex with an old flame 50 years later. I am so glad this was not the case with this book! Layers of love and real life and a bit of fantasy and predictability will make you never want it it end. Worth even 2 credits! Now, I have to go and search for my next read by this author.

Tiffy and Leon share an apartment. Tiffy and Leon have never met. After a bad breakup, Tiffy Moore needs a place to live. Fast. And cheap. But the apartments in her budget have her wondering if astonishingly colored mold on the walls counts as art. Desperation makes her open minded, so she answers an ad for a flatshare. Leon, a night shift worker, will take the apartment during the day, and Tiffy can have it nights and weekends. He'll only ever be there when she's at the office. In fact, they'll never even have to meet.

Free 14 hours of therapy!
Revisado: 02-11-20
If you just broke up with your boyfriend and started therapy to get over it, this book is for YOU! It takes awhile to get into it, but believe me, it's worth it. I kept rewinding and wishing I had the hard copy too to remember all of the lessons I learned from this book. Felt like it wasn't a novel, but real stories about people in therapy going through everyday life trying to heal from it and live life and not just survive. And not just the patients, the therapist herself gives such a unique look into what therapists must face everyday. Worth the credit 1,000 times!

Historia
Building on her critically acclaimed novel The Last Days of California and her biting collection Always Happy Hour, Miller slyly transports listeners to her unapologetic corner of the South - this time, Biloxi, Mississippi, home to 63-year-old Louis McDonald, Jr. His wife of 37 years left him, his father has passed - and he has impulsively retired from his job in anticipation of an inheritance check that may not come. One day, he stops at a house advertising free dogs and meets overweight mixed-breed Layla.

Thank you for not doing what everyone always does when they write about the South-make us look dumb and sweating all the time. I LOVED Louis. Laughed out loud at his character and the characters he meets..human and canine! I miss him.

Kept my interest--overall, I couldn't believe that a mother behaved like that in front of her daughter, so glad I got to expand my knowledge of those who grew up differently than I did.

Historia
Alice Wright marries handsome American Bennett Van Cleve hoping to escape her stifling life in England. So, when a call goes out for a team of women to deliver books as part of Eleanor Roosevelt’s new traveling library, Alice signs on enthusiastically. The leader, and soon Alice's greatest ally, is Margery, a smart-talking, self-sufficient woman who's never asked a man's permission for anything.

Historia
The day Anna McDonald's quiet, respectable life explodes starts off like all the days before: Packing up the kids for school, making breakfast, listening to yet another true crime podcast. Then her husband comes downstairs with an announcement, and Anna is suddenly, shockingly alone. Reeling, desperate for distraction, Anna returns to the podcast. Other people's problems are much better than one's own - a sunken yacht, a murdered family, a hint of international conspiracy. But this case actually is Anna's problem. She knows one of the victims from an earlier life.

Struggled finishing this one. Would. It recommend. It is totally unrealistic and too many characters who were named once and then brought up every now and then.
