Historia
In his early 20s, Curtis Jackson, known as 50 Cent, rose to the heights of fame and power in the cutthroat music business. A decade ago, the multi-platinum selling rap artist decided to pivot. His ability to adapt to change was demonstrated when he became the executive producer and star of Power, a high-octane, gripping crime drama centered around a drug kingpin's family. The series quickly became "appointment" television, leading to Jackson inking a four-year, $150 million contract with the Starz network - the most lucrative deal in premium cable history.

This book is awesome!! I can't imagine it being any better. The author was not known to me as being a management/leadership expert, but after listening to this book, I think it's one of the best management/leadership books ever written. I have 685 books with Audible and this is in the top 5.

skip to chapter 13 (audible chapter 13)
Revisado: 08-30-20
the beginning goes over a lot of foundation and the author has good stories to cover everything. however, if you are looking for actual substance and techniques, I would suggest skipping to chapter 13. that's where this book really starts to become very useful.

decent book for beginners
Revisado: 01-22-20
this is a decent book for beginners, but in my opinion suffers from 2 mistakes. 1, it is longer than it needs to be. I am sure the editors have him a minimum word count. I hate that. 2, it is basic. it touches on everything, but you dont walk away with anything special. despite these comments, I think it's a 4 when read at 2x speed.

basic
Revisado: 10-24-19
nothing too insightful here. he makes broad conclusions about why one company may succeed versus another, and attributes all the success of the winners to companies that started with why. while he may have examples, like apple vs others, it is short on data or scientific studies.

The Talmud says: “If someone comes to kill you, rise up and kill him first.” This instinct to take every measure, even the most aggressive, to defend the Jewish people is hardwired into Israel’s DNA. From the very beginning of its statehood in 1948, protecting the nation from harm has been the responsibility of its intelligence community and armed services, and there is one weapon in their vast arsenal that they have relied upon to thwart the most serious threats: Targeted assassinations have been used countless times, on enemies large and small....

good, but a lot of fake science
Revisado: 08-14-19
he writes well and this is narrated well, but the fake science and absurdness of some if his points makes it an overall negative review. it would have been better if he just admitted most of it was his opinion and not try to argue the science, which, is severely flawed on multiple accounts (for instance, he cites, as fact, a satire "study" that was meant to be a joke).

the middle was great, the begining and ending not
Revisado: 07-14-19
I feel like this book is another victim of the publisher dictating a minimum amount of words. The book was a struggle for me and had a lot of what I perceive to be filler content to make it longer. I really liked the middle to end (but not the last chapter) where the meat of the content was. Everything else I could only make it through on 2.5 to 3 x speed.
