I listened to this audiobook and was pulled in immediately by Jason Clarke's and Emma Wilder's excellent narration. Mr. Clarke's Scottish brogue and the various other accents are spot-on and truly bring the characters to life. Ms. Wilder is equally as talented at bringing Cress to life and showcasing her emotional highs and lows. I immediately dove into the next book in the series, At the Crossroads. I highly recommend this book and audiobook.
I absolutely loved this story. Cress and Max are a unique couple. She's a historical romance author whose past has caused her to keep her inner circle small, and Max is a former MI6 operative whose previous career causes him to keep secrets. A chance encounter brings the couple together but apparently they had a previous encounter twenty years prior and both characters wondered what if.
Max's memory of their encounter is ingrained in his soul and Cress was forever the one who got away. Her memory of the encounter is clouded by the behavior of Max's companion but she wistfully watched him around Oxford.
Cress is a very successful, independent woman, who has high walls built up around her heart. People, except for her two very closest friends, have always hurt her and let her down, so Max has his work cut out for him. When a stalker and allegations of plagiarism put Cress in danger, it's fortunate Max works for a security firm.
The story that follows is a well-written, slow burn, second-chance romance with elements of danger and suspense. Ms. Michalove delves into the web of emotions and the secrets each character harbor that threaten to derail the budding relationship. While Cress's family is a train wreck, Max's big Scottish family is tight-knit and boisterous. Secrets are revealed, emotions are laid bare, danger lurks but justice wins out and the couple end up together in a satisfying HEA.

I'm a big fan of sports romances and S.R. Grey's never disappoints, whether it is football or hockey. Down by Contact is book four in her Men of Fall series and focuses on football player Zane and his unexpected houseguest, Morgan. The story is well-paced and the main characters likable and easy to relate to and their chemistry is palpable.
Morgan is trying to hide from her abusive ex and what better place than an under construction house? That is until the owner, Zane, thinks he hears something and decides to install a security system. Little does he know the critter caught in the house once it is installed is someone who will turn his world upside down. Once he meets her and knows why she is living in his unfinished home, he decides she can stay and the attraction begins. What follows is a slow burn romance between Zane and Morgan, with the football player revealing is protective side. His only concern for the woman he's falling for is keeping her safe from her crazy ex.
I really enjoyed listening to this book and Regan West and Tim Paige do a great job giving life to the characters in this book. Both narrators show a the deeper aspects of the characters and both are among my favorite narrators.

This might be my favorite of the Boys of Winter series. S.R. Grey's series never fails to pull me in and keep me engaged from the first page to the last. This particular book is a lot of fun. A couple of harmless bets, what could possibly go wrong (or maybe right)? The book is full of witty banter and great characters. I love how close the team members are and how they joke around but are yet supportive of each other.
Landen meets Cricket in a casino VIP room and he pushes for a little side wager. Of course he wins and he wants a date but she pushes him to wait until the next day to see if he really wants to collect on that bet. The next day he finds she is the new event coordinator for the team. The date goes on and another bet is made and their relationship moves rapidly, maybe a little too quickly, punctuated by a few more bets. I love instant attraction stories and this one ticks all my boxes: great characters, hot hockey players, a strong heroine, awesome banter, fun situations, low angst, and an swoony HEA.
I can't wait until the next player meets his match.
Oliver Clarke and Regan West do an awesome job of bringing Landen and Cricket to life. Mr. Clarke's voice is as smooth as the ice Landen skates on and Ms. West give Cricket the perky personality she has to stay the course with Landen. Their chemistry is evident in the audiobook and add more enjoyment to the story.

A short, sexy read or listen from the male's point of view. The story opens with a sexy dream of the one girl who rocked Zac's world and when she unexpectedly comes back to town she opens up a whole lot of memories and emotions. Zac works in law enforcement and vows after his brother's death to end illegal street racing. However, he does not expect the leader of the pack to be Roni, his brother's best friend and the girl he grew up with. The girl in his recurring dream.
Roni promised her friend they'd race the Palace and she feels she owes it to Edwin. Zac's goal is to keep Roni safe and as his but the girl has a mind of her own.
I listened to the audiobook. Conner Goff is a new to me author and I truly enjoyed his narration of Ms. Marie's story. His gruff and gravelly Zac comes off sexy and authoritative. While Roni and his sister are both sassy and full of attitude. I'll certainly be looking for more books by this narrator and author

I was totally blown away by the duet narration for this book. Both of these narrators are new to me and I love their voices. Lili Victor does an exceptional voicing the various ol' ladies in the club but she truly outdoes herself with her Southern accent for Clementine. Matthew Winchester does a great job of differentiating the Grimm Wolves bikers. Whether he is voicing the older gravelly voiced Chains or the young prospect, Bullet his range is exceptional and he makes each biker distinct from every other. I hope to hear more from these narrators in the future.
This book is the second installment in DM Earl's Grimm Wolves series. The novella focuses on Bullet, who has some pretty ugly things happen to him in the first book in the series, Behemoth, as well as in his life before the MC. I appreciate that Ms. Earl handles her younger characters with finesse and care. The young man is tortured by his nightmares and guilt that he has let his club down. However, his brothers are trying to get him to move forward. They've protected him since he came to them and they will continue to do so.
All of the characters from Behemoth appear in this book and the author does a good job catching the reader up with them. Grace, Stitch's fiancée, plays matchmaker to Bullet and a young nursing student who caught his eye, Clementine. Though she seems sweet, her red hair foretells her fiery temperament. She is every bit the match for Bullet, though she is also young. The banter with her is fun and flirty, and she gives as good as she gets. Their romance is just at the sweet beginning with the promise of more to come.
Bullet learns the truth of his nightmares and questions are answered about his troubles with the rival MC, but there is still trouble brewing with Satan's Marauders and within some of the other members of the Grimm Wolves. Time will tell how everything shakes out, and I'm anxious to see what's ahead for this series. Ms. Earl draws the reader in to care for the character and have a vested interest in the outcome of their lives. So grab your favorite beverage, curl up and enjoy the ride.

Troy Duran continues to be one of my favorite narrators. He truly displays his vocal talents in this holiday novella. Whether it is Orion's unique accent or the pack Alpha's gravelly voice, each character is original and distinct. And the man's voice is OMG sexy. I look forward to each book narrated by Troy Duran. Equally as talented is Sarah L Colton. Her narration captures each of the characters perfectly, and there are a lot at the packhouse for Christmas. These narrators compliment each other and make for a delightful listening experience.
I love holiday novellas, and this one by Michelle Dare ticks all my holiday boxes. I've read all of Ms. Dare's paranormal books and love this holiday catchup with all of the pack and my favorite vampires.
There's laughter, love, and fulfilled dreams in this novella. Each chapter is written in a different character's point of view and I adore getting inside each of the characters' brains. These characters have become like family to the readers of the Avynwood books and this one gives the reader up close look inside the pack house and its residents.
I look forward to each and every book in Ms. Dare's paranormal world, and for a reader who normally doesn't read paranormal books, I think that says a lot about Ms. Dare's talent and stories. Grab a cup of hot chocolate, turn on the holiday music, and jump into Christmas with the pack.

This is one of my favorite books in the Grimm Wolves series, not only is it full of suspense and action, but it shows the emotional side of the club and their families. I so enjoyed the audiobook. Both of the narrators are new to me but I hope to hear more from them in the future. Jenna St. Claire exhibits a wide range of vocal talents. She is as real with Spitfire's Southern drawl as she is Damien's or Rider's little boy voices. Each woman's/child's voice is distinct and easily distinguishable from the other characters. Gunnar Qualen's voice is sexy as can be, whether he is the grouchy Chains or the level-headed Prez, Brick. He does a great job with each of the brothers he voices, making them easy to recognize in the chaos of the club. The duet narration of this book only adds to the enjoyment of the listener. I hope to hear more from both of them in future books in the series.
This is third installment in the Grimm Wolves MC series by DM Earl. Beast has been acting just as his name implies in the past installments and his reasons are protective if somewhat misguided. When demons from his past threaten his woman and son, he hides them away in a run-down, unhealthy apartment, hoping Cathy will get fed up and leave for safety. With the holidays approaching, Beast seeks to make things right with the family of his choice and of his heart, protecting them from the family of his blood.
As with most MC books, there is always a lot going on and Ms. Earl gives us glimpses into couples from the previous books as well as making them an integral part of the current storyline. Threats abound not only to Beast and his family, but also his club. Ms. Earl does an excellent job showcasing the members of the MC and their relationships within the club, while adding an element of danger and suspense to the mix. While these guys are rough around the edges they all have hearts of gold and know the true meaning of family and do their utmost to make this holiday season the best ever for Beast and his family, as well as the rest of the club. Ms. Earl has the perfect balance of heat, danger, humor, and love to create a great holiday read in this series.

I love S.R. Grey's storytelling style. Her characters are real and well developed and there is always a sense of fun and humor in her stories. Lars is a pro football player, not looking for a relationship, and Becca is a wedding planner who has given up on the idea of love and an HEA. So where do these two end up on Valentine's Day? They go to an old movie theatre and in a very unBecca-like move. She sits in the back row next to the hot guy in the ball cap. The attraction is instant and once Becca realizes she's making out with a guy she doesn't know, she runs. (This is her go-to move throughout the story.) Lars is intrigued by her but never got her name. Little do they know, each of the couples' best friends have been trying to set them up for a long time. When they meet again, the running starts anew.
Lars is not one to give up and he pursues her relentlessly. He will not give up, even when she friend zones him. He uses that to prove to her she wants him as badly as he wants her. Ms. Grey puts this couple through their paces. Poor Lars he is probably the most patient hero I've read in a long while and I loved their journey to their HEA.
I listened to this audiobook and fell in love with Oliver Clarke's voice as Lars. His voice has just the right rumbly quality to portray a rough and tumble football player, set on getting his woman. This is the second book narrated by him and I will definitely will be looking for more. Regan West is excellent as Becca. Through her vocal variations she is able to voice all of the emotions poor Becca's feels, which range from trepidation and fear to love and passion. I truly enjoyed this audiobook and look forward to more from this author and these narrators.

I Want a Firefighting Gigolo Like Galen

When I listened to the audiobook of Ex-Rated Gigolo, I was very impressed by the narration by Summer Roberts and Aaron Shedlock. Both of these were new to me narrators. Ms. Summers does an excellent job voicing Mila and her bubbly personality as well as her attitude when thing aren't going well. I know Mr. Shedlock is a very popular narrator and after listening to him voice Galen, I totally understand why. His voice has a smooth as fine wine quality that is fine and sexy. I'll definitely be looking for more books to listen to by both of these narrators. 've read a couple of books in this author's Saddles and Racks series and enjoyed them, so this one was immediately added to my TBR. I'm so glad I did, this story had me smiling from the first scene when the hottie firefighter "rescued" his high school crush off the roof when she tried to rescue her neighbors cat. Galen and Mila's story is sweet and steamy, with a dash of heartache.
Mila crushed on Galen and school and vice versa but nothing ever became of it, so when they meet years later, they start spending time together. Mila has an exceptional opportunity to study in Paris for six month after she completes cosmetology school. When she earns the trip it throws a wrench into their budding relationship. While they have spent every spare minute together since reconnecting they never labeled their relationship, but what harm could six months apart do?
Ms. Knight does an excellent job throwing this couple onto a rollercoaster of a relationship: the highs of the new relationship, the separation and lack of communication, and the failure on both of their parts to reach out upon Mila's return. Though they both realize too late they love the other, it takes two years and several dead ends before the couple gets to their HEA. I loved this story and the chemistry and heat between the couple and was rooting for them the entire book.

Shutter Speed Audiolibro Por Freya Barker arte de portada

I just listened to the audio book of Shutter Speed and it blew me away. I had read the book a while back but I forgot how much I loved these characters and Rock Engle and Marnye Young did an excellent job of bringing Ben and Isla to life. Ms Young hit Isla's attitude and emotions dead on and Mr. Engle vividly voice Ben's thoughts and concerns, giving a sense of urgency to the danger of their situation. Yet he was equally effective at bringing out Ben's softer side, one he hasn't had an opportunity to show often. I can't wait to listen to this duo to narrate Freeze Frame the follow up to Shutter Speed.
Ms. Barker is known for her well-developed characters, and I was delighted to find that even though Shutter Speed is a novella there is no lack of character development. Isla is a feisty, petite woman, who has dealt with a great deal of loss in her life. When she loses her job, she steps in to help out her uncle who runs a campground. Seizing the opportunity to hone her photographic skills and fulfill her dreams, she spends her free time snapping pictures. When she meets the silver fox biker, Ben, she sees more than meets the eye. Outgoing and cheerful, she unwittingly sees things through the view finder of her camera that could be dangerous.
Ben's life is not exactly what it seems, but his life depends on keeping up those appearances. When he realizes that Isla may have seen something she shouldn't, his focus widens as he tries to keep both of them safe, while maybe grabbing a little happiness that has been missing from his life.
Ms. Barker has a way of spinning a suspense story, even in a shorter work. The interaction between the main characters is witty and the characters jump off the page and remain with the reader. I am excited to hear that this is a prequel to a longer romantic suspense story featuring Ben and Isla.
