Really interesting story of survival and hardship and triumph

This author and her writing partner had a wonderful way of expressing the journey and risks taken as well as the trials and hardships that this young girl went through in her early years to escape a socialist hellscape that is North Korea. And this is what they want for America.

Definite twist I was not expecting!

This was a very well crafted story and I definitely did not expect the ending. I was initially disappointed when the twist in the ending came, thinking that it was going to be like the last episode of Dallas where they wake up and everything‘s been a dream, but the author very cleverly wove together all the strands of the story. It had a wonderful theme and was very well researched and written.

This was a fantastic summary of previous plagues and what was done to combat them. This author did a fantastic job not only giving historical facts as well as some crazy interesting science trivia as well. Very well-written and performed!!

Not my favorite, one of her stories, but great ending

This was very obviously, in the beginning of her career as a writer, but it gave a glimpse of the fantastic imagination and writing ability she would eventually develop. I still enjoyed the story, though.
