Historia
With authoritative reporting honed through eight presidencies from Nixon to Obama, author Bob Woodward reveals in unprecedented detail the harrowing life inside President Donald Trump’s White House and precisely how he makes decisions on major foreign and domestic policies. Woodward draws from hundreds of hours of interviews with firsthand sources, meeting notes, personal diaries, files, and documents. The focus is on the explosive debates and the decision-making in the Oval Office, the Situation Room, Air Force One, and the White House residence.

What will it take??????
Revisado: 09-16-18
Fear is the perfect name for this book. How can a lying bully transform a functioning organization into a barrel of shivering cowards. It happened in Germany but we did not see it up close. I always thought those people must have been stupid to allow a dictator to bare face lie and no one do anything. But it is now happening right before our eyes. 5000 lies have been incorporated into our daily lives with very little resistance to his power by the people who are in a position to change it. . This book brought back to my remembrance many of the incidents I have covered closely but have somehow ended up in the off line memory. The book does have a bit of repetition where Trumps reactions to incident were identical and thus restated but that was exactly the way it happened. I would recommend this book to everyone and for those who have not followed the news closely, when you read something so wrong that you think it could not possibly be true, be advised, it is. Fact check it

Historia
In this short book, Sam Harris and Maajid Nawaz invite you to join an urgently needed conversation: Is Islam a religion of peace or war? Is it amenable to reform? Why do so many Muslims seem drawn to extremism? What do words like Islamism, jihadism, and fundamentalism mean in today's world? Remarkable for the breadth and depth of its analysis, this dialogue between a famous atheist and a former radical is all the more startling for its decorum. Harris and Nawaz have produced something genuinely new: they engage one of the most polarizing issues of our time - fearlessly and fully - and actually make progress.

Historia
At least one-third of the people we know are introverts. They are the ones who prefer listening to speaking; who innovate and create but dislike self-promotion; who favor working on their own over working in teams. It is to introverts—Rosa Parks, Chopin, Dr. Seuss, Steve Wozniak—that we owe many of the great contributions to society.

I am an Introvert, go figure
Revisado: 08-01-13
Would you consider the audio edition of Quiet to be better than the print version?
I have both because I wanted to have visual access to specific areas of the text. I am a listener so do better with audio. I would have to recommend the audio and then you will probably want the printed version.
What other book might you compare Quiet to and why?
The Mind and the Brain, The Other Side of Normal, books of that caliber. This was easy to understand and because of the presentation it is instruction and informative as well as very eye opening.I find myself observing people with the introver/extrover evaluator information very accessible. I have not had a problem recalling the information provided by the author.
What does Kathe Mazur bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I felt very comfortable and her presentation was a perfect speed and tone for me. I had time to drink in the concepts of each page and could keep up with the audio. Her voice is beautiful and I felt she completely understood what she was relaying to the listener.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Yes several. The comparison of Oriental and American self presentation, the test and I was very impressed with the amount of research the author had done. I guess the overall message of okness and how we got to the point of accepting, as a society, the extroverts are the most successful. It is so obvious - there is a place to succeed for all types of people - and you do not need to become someone you are not to be successful.
Any additional comments?
I have listened to this book twice and used my printed copy as reference. I plan to read the entire printed copy in the next month. Thank you for this amazing work of perspective.
