This is one of my favorite Bill Sullivan novels. I read a lot of his non-fiction books before this and now I'm hooked on the fiction stories about Oregon. If you enjoyed this then I would recommend Oregon Variations. Keep up the great work, Bill and I hope to see ya at the fair this Summer!

Historia
Giant earthquakes and tsunamis devastate western Oregon every 300 to 600 years. The last one hit in 1700, so we're due anytime. This informative, entertaining book tells the stories of Oregon's past floods, fires, and eruptions - including the Vanport Flood, the eruption of Mt. St. Helens, and the Columbus Day Windstorm. Then it investigates the cycles behind our natural disasters and takes a look at what may happen when the next "Big One" strikes.

Classic Twisty Mystery
Revisado: 09-24-19
It took me a bit to get invested but with a book of this length I expect a slow burn. Great twists and whenever I thought I had it figured out the was something new that changed everything. I don't always like a tidy happy ending but I did in this case.

Entertaining but predictable
Revisado: 08-06-18
Have you ever read (listened) to a book where the characters keep making stupid decisions and you want to reach out and shake them? This book has quite a few of these moments. However, it is well written and the sometimes frustrating or predictable moments didn't bother me as much as they have in other books. Overall this was a fun read, the time passes quickly and I wanted to see how it all wrapped up in the end.

Revisado: 03-28-17
It was a rough start amd I considered returning it after the second chapter. I'm glad I stuck with it as the story and action came together. It turned out to be a fun supernatural adventure that kept me going to the end. Bronson Pinchot did an excellent job narrating and I recommend this as a fun read

I was only able to make it a little over an hour into this 23 hour long book. I literally feel asleep, the plot was slow and uninspired. From what I was able to listen to I felt like I'd heard the same story before only told better.
