Historia
Harry Dresden, Chicago's only practicing professional wizard, should be happy that business is pretty good for a change. But he also knows that whenever things are going good, the only way left for them to go is bad. Way bad. Recent examples: A duel with the lethal champion of the Red Court, who must kill Harry to end the war between vampires and wizards...Hit men using Harry for target practice...The missing Shroud of Turin - and the possible involvement of Chicago's most feared mob boss.

Historia
It's a very straightforward detective story! Well, one where the detective lives in a post-apocalypse fantasy setting where there are orcs rampaging in the eastern desert, evil sorcerers lurking in their towers to the north, and adventurers looting and exploring the post-American ruins. But they all come to Cin City: Cinderella, the capital of the Kingdom of New California. Maybe it's because of the glitter. Maybe it's because of the giant iceberg in the middle of the Gulf of California. And maybe it's because they got nowhere else to go.

Wonderful re-telling of the ancient story
Revisado: 10-22-18
The idea of writing Oedipus from Jocasta's point of view was a great idea. The story is well known but the point of view changes a lot as does the authors' decision to avoid the religious issues. The performance was superb. Narrating a first person novel must have been difficult but the narrator makes you 'hear' Jocasta not an actor. The narrator may be new to the field but she did a superb job. There was no flat delivery nor any over emoting - the delivery seems natural and, at least in this listener's ears, precisely toned to the authors' intent. The narrator managed to tailor her performance to the character and her maturation from a mid-teenager to a seasoned 50 year old queen.
