Application to current political situation is “spot on”.
Revisado: 04-25-24
Author Richardson identifies current political issues, examines their consequences, and offers a discussion of their impact on our democracy. I find her conclusions to be straightforward and accurate. This volume gave me a better understanding of the challenges facing our Republic. Her essays should be required reading for everyone interested in the future of our country.

Fast paced and believable as the world should be. If only it could be a series on Netflix or Amazon Prime. Narration is excellently nuanced. I enjoyed it immensely.

Set in the mountains of southern Appalachia, Demon Copperhead is the story of a boy born to a teenaged single mother in a single-wide trailer, with no assets beyond his dead father’s good looks and copper-colored hair, a caustic wit, and a fierce talent for survival. Relayed in his own unsparing voice, Demon braves the modern perils of foster care, child labor, derelict schools, athletic success, addiction, disastrous loves, and crushing losses.

And now two agents have arrived on Jacob’s Ladder in search of someone—or something—they refuse to identify. Although an air of menace hangs over these men, an infinitely greater threat has arrived, one so strange even the island animals are in a state of high alarm.

Believable, with nuggets of truth
Revisado: 08-13-23
Interesting storyline. A bit far fetched in some respects but certainly plausible. Koontz kept his imagination under control and didn’t insert a supernatural solution to the problem. Narrator Naudus created a main character who was brave and capable. Satisfactory conclusion, not a cliffhanger for a change.
