LOVED this book!

This book takes a while for the plot to really get going, but it is DEFINITELY worth the wait! There are so many twists and turns. Marshall Karp is a masterful storyteller. His Biggs and Lomax books are some of my favorites ever, but this book is particularly exceptional for its plot and its characters. Narration is also quite excellent! I noted there are a few negative reviews. I'd be willing to bet anything they are people who didn't finish the books; because if you do finish it, it takes your breath away.

I loved this book!

I read (or listen to) ANYTHING that Molly Harper writes. She as the author and Amanda Ranconi as the narrator are a tough team to beat. Having said that, this particular book was even a step ahead of the usual. Her characters are lovable (or hate-able in some cases), and that's a good thing, because it's tough to love a book if you don't get involved with the characters. But this book was also a very finely-woven mystery/suspense. I hope she writes more in this setting, and I highly recommend them!

Another Terrific Listen from Molly Harper

I love how Molly Harper builds on her cast of characters in her series. By this third book in the series, I'm totally invested in all of them AND in the ongoing story. Ms Harper writes a very clever story with lots of intrigue and mixes in great humor and characters you can love (or hate). I'm pretty addicted. Also kudos to Amanda Ronconi and Teddy Hamilton for terrific narration. Good narrators can make or break an audiobook, and these two are terrific!

A very fun romp!

I have read all of Kathleen Brooks' books, as I love her character development, the humor, the suspense, and the banter between the characters. This book is apparently her first venture into rom-com, and I was delighted with it. If I hadn't known going in that Ms Brooks was the author, I would never have guessed. It is very different from her previous books. However, it has many of the same qualities: great character development, nonstop action, and wonderful banter between the characters.

The narration on this book is particularly good, and that makes all the difference in the world! I'm very much looking forward to the next book in this series.

A Fun Change of Pace

I love all the Molly Harper books. This is a different bent than some of her previous books, but equally delightful. While I'm addicted to her previous series, I appreciate that she's willing to change direction from time to time to keep things fresh. I am so looking forward to more of this series!

Hard to evaluate story because narration so poor

I rarely provide a review unless I can give a very positive one; but I’m making an exception in this case. I regretted buying the audiobook, because the narration was so poor (mechanical) that it distracted completely from the story. This narrator might get better with time and some coaching; but she needs to quit treating narration as an elocution exercise.

One of the funniest authors ever

The text for these stories are so witty, self-deprecating, and flawlessly delivered by the narrator. I just can't make myself stop listening.

Very funny and finally not the usual formula!

I listen to about two audible books a week, and most are in the romance genre. This is the best I've listened to in a long time. Very funny and also very interesting. Didn't follow the standard formula.
