Historia
I'm stuck in an uptown lobby while my dreams of making it as a model in New York hang by a single thread. Meanwhile, Olivier Arnaud lives his best life as a useless socialite, flaunting his wealth, his looks, and his privilege. His gaze taunts, and his nightly, condescending smirks burrow deep beneath my skin where I simmer with bitterness and hate. The day he asks me to deliver his mail directly to his twelfth-floor penthouse, he makes it personal, and the thread snaps—violently. With my hand around his neck, I feel alive for the first time in months.

I'd Give 10 Stars If I Could
Revisado: 03-22-25
I've been listening to romance books for the last 4 years. Strictly MM for the last 3. The number of times I thought to myself "this is one of THE BEST books I've ever heard" happened more times than I can count. This story will stay with me for, maybe, ever. It touched on so many emotions I've experienced. I don't even want to start another book because it will be almost impossible to be better than this one.
I feel like I know and I def love Drew and Olli now and I can't even express how much I didn't want the story to end. Even the side characters were memorable and weren't just there for filler and fluff.
It's got
hurt/comfort
gay for you
bi-awakening
NOT strict top/bottoms
and smiles for days! I found myself smiling so many times throughout.
August Jones is a new author to me as I'm not a reader only a listener. Clearly I've been missing out! The spice in this book is off the charts hot! The sexy talk and the scenes are top notch. Zachary Johnson is one of my absolute favorites and Ellis Evans did such an amazing job. When you forget it's a book and you are lost in the characters and story it's magical.
Safe to say I highly recommend this story. Everyone may not like it as much as I did but I bet most will love it!

To Collin Galloway, direction is a four-letter word. Sure, he hates his job, he hates living with his parents, and he really hates watching everyone move on without him. But he doesn’t know what he wants to do, long-term, and he won’t figure it out by thirsting over Jeremiah, the superhot, super-intense paramedic who is suddenly everywhere Collin looks.

So Real!
Revisado: 12-31-24
I enjoyed the hell out of this book!!! I found myself grinning and sometimes LoL! The story of these guys meeting and getting together felt like life happening rather than fictional fantasy. Don't get me wrong, I love a good suspension of disbelief but that wasn't necessary here. I liked how you heard the story of the guys work life, social life and love life. Woven together in such a way it was like hanging out with friends! I felt like the guys were a great match.
I thought the narrator for Jaramiah was perfect and spot on. The narrator for Collin sounded a bit to old but it wasn't so much that I couldn't settle in and really enjoy the story.
Overall, I recommend this book highly and after listening to the preview for the next book in the series, I'll be getting that one!

Carter Morgan III hates everything about South Carolina University except for one thing: hockey. As the starting netminder for the team, he lives for those moments when he can step onto the ice and between the pipes. Unfortunately, his time at school and on the team is slowly coming to an end. Although he'd love nothing more than to pursue a career in the NHL, he knows better than to get his hopes up.

So Very Enjoyable!
Revisado: 12-28-24
This was such a great story! I found myself smiling almost the whole way through and definitely had many LoL moments!! I loved Zeke and Carter! A perfect grumpy sunshine pairing! I especially liked that grumpy Carter was completely likable and not an absolute asshole that needed to be redeemed to be liked. This book was a joy from start to finish! The narrators are two of my favorites and made a great pairing. The spice level is very low and it's for sure a slow burn. If that's an issue for you then go in knowing, otherwise this book is just wonderful! 10 out of 10, I definitely recommend!!!

Selling my virginity wasn't how I saw my first week of college going. But after my parents cut me off, an offer from a gorgeous rich stranger doesn't sound so bad. It's only twenty-four hours and I'll never have to see him again. Wrong. Much to my horror, the stranger is Oliver Godfrey, the captain of my fencing team. As if that isn't bad enough, his parents own half the city. There is no escape from him or the way he makes me feel.

I Wanted To Love It
Revisado: 10-23-24
I preordered this book months and months ago and I've been so excited to finally get it. I've loved every single book Andi Jaxon has put on audio so I had high hopes for this one. What a let down. **SPOILERS**
I found Oliver to be completely insufferable from start to finish. I get that he was supposed to be all hot and possessive but he just came across as a complete asshole. I kept waiting for him to get better and he never did. His, "you can't date anyone but me" attitude towards Isaac was likely meant to be sexy but it was so annoying. Even the "nice" or "soft" side he occasionally showed didn't redeem him. I get Isaac was a virgin at the start but he never, ever grew a backbone. He got a little more confident in sex but my gosh in everything else, he doubted and questioned himself so much it literally came off as whining. Yes, his parents were awful but the story would have been so much better had he taken the experience with Oliver and treatment from his parents and gotten stronger. If he had finally stood up to Oliver maybe it would have been more tolerable. On their first time, during the 24 hr date, Oliver spanked Isaac and had super rough sex. Without a condom! I don't think that is believable or acceptable in any way. With BDSM, usually the physical hits aren't for punishment, they are for pleasure. Not in this story. Oliver literally punished Isaac with a rough throat fu@k and orgasm denial. Because Isaac was on a nondate. Oliver was Isaac's first love. There is always intense feelings and emotions so it's no wonder Issac put up with Oliver's assholery. I just wanted this to end and I came SO close to DNF and returning it, but I wanted it to get better. I did think the narrators did amazing. Kurt and Tim are top of their game voice actors but even they couldn't redeem this story. I may be in the minority here and that's fine. I am super disappointed in this book and I don't know if I will be able to listen to the rest of the series if they are all this bad. Sorry authors, but I still love y'all for bringing my guilty pleasure to audio!

Two things saved Lincoln Bennett after his wife died. The first was a murder Marla had been trying to solve, a murder that hinted at the secret life she'd been leading, and the lies that had formed the bedrock of their entire marriage. The second was Milo Rose, the donor recipient who'd been granted a new chance at life thanks to Marla's own heart. As the two men are drawn deeper into the mystery, Linc finds himself drawn closer to Milo.

Really Good Story
Revisado: 05-21-24
I really enjoyed this book! This is a new author to me and I'm now following and will try the other book on Audible.
I thought the story was interesting and a def slow burn. The first slice wasn't until about 3/4 through the book and there's not many of them but they are good.
I liked that there was a mystery, and interesting side characters. Teddy is truly one of the best narrators, in my opinion, for voices.
I occasionally wasn't sure who was talking as the MCs did sound close to the same but mostly it was that their names were both short so the distinction wasn't as easy for me as when the names are very different.
I liked how the guys eased into their relationship, it was pretty close to how it would happen in real life I think.
Overall for as long as this book was, I wasn't bored or zoned out. I love a long book as long as it keeps me interested and this one had lots to keep you tuned in! Well done!

When the guys at work dare me and the new guy to play a game of gay chicken, I figure I'll get my first kiss and bragging rights for winning. What I don't expect is for that game to awaken something in me. Something I've never felt before. Something that makes me want more. Makes me want him. I never back down from a challenge, but that doesn't explain why being with Noah feels so good. Why I can't stop thinking about him. Why he's the only person who's ever stirred even the slightest interest in me. Why getting him off gets me off.

Loved these Guys!
Revisado: 05-20-24
The narration was perfect, Alexander and Aiden did a stellar, amazing, superb job on this one!
The MCs were so broken in their hearts and heads, the animosity in the beginning wasn't a surprise. I wanted to hug them both so many times for all the self doubt they had. I'm so glad they were so good for each other and made their way to their found family and their beautiful HEA!
I've listened to SO many MM books over the last couple years and this is the first one that made me blush during a spice scene! Just so hott!!!!!! I know it's subjective in what people like but this was by far some of the BEST spicy writing I've ever heard! My praise to Mrs Willow, Sir Aiden and Sir Alexander!

Duty, honor, and sacrifice. Dedicating my life to these elements, for family and country, leaves little for myself in return. It's why I indulge in a no-strings hookup with a handsome stranger mere days before heading half-a-world away. Except one night turns into a week-long fling, creating a connection at the most inopportune time. And neither of us want it to end. Staying in touch is easy at first, but dwindles to radio silence and distant memories as time passes.

10s, 10s, 10s Across the Board!
Revisado: 04-30-24
With these two authors and these two narrators this book is everything you'd expect. Stellar story, all the feels, delicious spice, and satisfying HEA.
I cried for these guys and I loved them. I felt their pain and their love. The best kind of books are when you feel like you know the characters, and you experience their emotions right along with them. That is good writing folks! When you blend that with superior narrators, some of the best voice actors around, you get a book that Gold! I can't praise the authors and narrators enough.
I absolutely LOVED, ADORED, SMILED AND COOED over the Easton and Cannon cameo. My heart!!
In summary, no question, get this book, you won't be sorry!

Not The Best Story
Revisado: 04-10-24
First off I will say that the narrators did an absolutely stellar job as always, making the listen so so good. Also, Mrs Harris can def write some delicious, down and dirty spice scenes!! Like, the burger and fries in this one...it doesnt get much dirtier than that!
The story however, left a little to be desired, in my opinion.
When I started I honestly felt like I was dropped in the middle of the story. I do have the first book and have listened to it twice. I felt the connection and rooted for Cole and Jasper far far more than Leland and Franklin. I usually get pretty emotionally inveated with the guys in the stories but I just didn't in this book. I was 2 or 3 hours in and almost returned it because the story felt hard to follow and jerky. I had questions through the whole book. While the guys do finally get their HEA, the story really seemed rough at times to me. I will say tho, that it wove Cole and Jasper seamlessly into this story and I found myself wishing the entire story had that same ease. Maybe it was just me but this was def not my favorite story from Mrs Harris. Bad Wrong Things is one of the best books ever. It was hard to believe it was written by the same author.
I do love a good long story so I don't feel like I am wasting a credit on a 4-5 hour book. Even though I didn't fall for these guys or the story I didn't hate that it was so long. Maybe because I kept wanting it to get better. At any rate, I didn't love it but I didn't hate it and I am def interested in seeing what others think. And if the 3rd book comes to audio I will still get it and listen. Honestly, listening to a long, not the best story from Mrs Harris is still better than 7-8 hours of SO many other books that are just not good at all. Was this review helpful, probably not, but I'm trying to be better about writing them. It always helps me to read reviews.

Andrew Reyes is handsome, rich, and very straight—he’s married to a gorgeous woman. Outspoken about his distaste for gay people, he isn’t shy about his opinion as he watches the gay couple he and his wife share a flight with. Logan McCall is handsome, rich, and openly gay. He isn’t impressed with the bigoted jerk across the aisle, no matter how easy on the eyes he is. Liked It More Than I Thought I Would
Revisado: 03-17-24
I wasn't sure if I'd like this story or be able to get into it. I liked the first book but never listened to the second, I don't do MF anymore and I only do audio so I haven't read any of the others. The blurb interested me so I gave it a try and I really liked it!
The story is short so moves along pretty quickly. It's pretty easy to follow, although there are a lot of side characters. I'm guessing they are in the other books so if anyone has gotten into those it may be easier to keep up with them. Overall I enjoyed the story and thought the spicy scenes were perfect.
The narrator did a good job even without much distinction between the voices of MCs. At first I had to work at figuring out who was who but it didn't take long. I'd listen to him narrate a book again and some narrators I just can't listen to at all but he did good.
This ended up being a sweet little story and I did like the ending but I think there was quite a lot of side characters and I had a hard time following them but otherwise I recommend this one!

Being near him again makes me crazy. I'm supposed to be the college basketball star my father raised me to be, but now I'm focused on a new game. I'm obsessed with watching him, touching him, breaking him. His body, his head, his heart, anything I can get my hands on… I'm gonna take it all until he's got nothing left. And even though he knows exactly what I'm doing to him, he's gonna let me do it anyway.

One Of The Best
Revisado: 02-20-24
I had seen this book recommend in several groups but I'm not a reader so when I saw it was available for preorder I got it immediately! It was worth the wait!!!
The story was so good that when I saw that I only had 45 minutes left I almost cried. I've listened to it in one day and I'm so bummed its over but so glad it was worth the listen.
Great writing, great narrators, and the spice!!! Whew!!! So hott!
I will say that there are no trigger warnings at the beginning for suicidal ideations, death of an important side character, descriptions of heavy drinking and drug use and possible sexual abuse (its hinted that it happened) by a side character.
The story is pretty angsty but in my opinion it wasn't to much. I love a good enemies to lovers story and this one didn't disappoint. Some ups, some downs and a satisfying HEA! Well done Mrs Bethany, very well done!!
